Not fake. done by an ad agency called Wieden and Kennedy in London. They shot this over 600 times. Finally got it right with no computer animation whatsoever. It's one of the most amazing pieces of film you'll ever see.

theory: if you place a weight in a side of a circle the weight will pull the wholecircle to its direction. thats on a plane.
now in an uphill, you just have to put greater weight. just like what they said counter weight.

Yes they would, all you have to do is add weights in the correct places inside the wheels.

They were counter-weighted with heavy weights installed at the top. When the wheel is bumped, it rolls that direction, even uphill.

they counter balance the weight on top so that the wheel rolls in the direction it is bumped, no matter what.
