It might be the most hardest thing you will find. It took me petstore after petstore to find it. Don't get one from your backyard the chances are it will die, have worms, take it to the vets. Trust me you don't want to do that!!! Good luck finding one at a petstore!!! feel free to ask anymore questions!!!!

I have been bitten by one only 5 times lol but the only time purposely was when i caught it....when they wanna bite purposley it hurts!!!! i have a huge scar on my thumb.............when it doesnt do it purposley like when im dropping in a worm and it strikes too soon, it feels like very small molars but doesnt hurt too much.

hi, i have 2 baby garter snakes and i dont know what to feed them. I got some earth worms but 1 of the snakes wouldnt eat them. So if you can help me please reply. P.S. I found them in the wild.

try feeding them small minios.If it dosent eat it, it might be stresed from taking it from its home. P.S. take the to a herp vet to see if any of them have paracites.

Heres a godo idea i had that prob when i bot my snapping turtle as if with all reptiles or nay aniaml give it time without you messing with teh tank or it to go around and see everything and fill safe in its tank and know that your not gonna eat it after 3 days my snapper woudl eat 1 womr a day He was rly small ten now he eats 2 minnows 12 cricket and 2 worms and a few reptiel sticks A DAY

do not get a garter snake from the wild buy one.they are safer from a breeder yes you need a heat source.

my garter snake is a red sided garter snake or common garter snake i got at critters. i just give it to it and he eats it. dont feed it worms from a bait shop just petstores.
