wow , i remember those towers . i was stationed in west germany in 1974 to 1976 . the east germans that occupied them , had telephoto cameras to try to get intel on the troops . they would try to read our lapel insignias , to gather info on troop strengths . the cavary units were the border troops , i was back about 38 mile from the border of fulda -gap ..... we were up & down the checkoslavakian border , every 3 month 3on 3 off ..... cold days .... A co,1/32nd armor, 3rd Armored Div .
