@snooze06 No worries. I didn't know that's where the American Gits got their name from. Ours came from our guitar player running over a worm with a Tonka Toy lorry so our bass player called him a git. We were influenced by Monty Python though, particularly some of our sillier songs.
@snooze06 Thank you for taking the time to listen. You'll be pleased to know we're not planning to reform! No one's ever compared us to the Sex Pistols before, abet in an uncomplimentary way, so I wondered what tracks of theirs you were thinking of? I was more of a Damned man myself
At last, someone with the good taste to recognize the Fall influence. Indeed we didn't last too long, 1988-1990, but at that point I think we were the only 'Gits' in the UK. The better known Americans didn't make it over here until we packed it in and in the days before the internet there was little chance of finding out about an obscure US band unless John Peel happened to play a track.
Hey Man, I was pumped up after talking to a polish the Gits. A not very SHARP skinhead band and I made the mistake to discussion with them. I listened to your tune and projected my anger on you. Talking about being subjective... Sorry for that, I`ll eat my words. I am a very big Fall fan and like a lot of bands (obscure ones as well)from this periode.
You were right, except for John Peel there were not too many ways to present yourself. Have a good one.

Nice name. There's a few of them already - but you probably won't last too long anayway. And... try to sound a bit less like the Fall.
Have a good life

Hello. I didn't take what you said badly and I rather rudely didn't consider the Polish 'Gits' when replying.
I'm just happy that anyone would take the time to listen to us.
Farewell

I've got a cassette in my garage, "A Golden Hour of The Gits."
And I taped that Turn It Up interview off the radio too, probably still got it in the same box of tapes.
