@FrederickVirus not to mention they must have had to play the song in slow motion the entire time. they couldn't move the camera fast enough to keep up with the songs normal tempo. i think you're right about one continuous shot, though. using a ton of different cameras wouldn't have worked with the actual shifting motion that happens between each stopped frame.

They probably used a similiar setup to the "bullet time effect" from the Matrix- they set up a frame with a group of cameras that shoot in sequence in the shape of an arch.

Theyd have to set up multiple frames and do multiple takes to pull this off. I'm sure it was very time-consuming and expensive.
