well, I have personally seen him stay awake for 48 hours straight, have very little to eat in that time, go to the gym, and do an ALL RAW deadlift of 735 while weighing around 192.
On another occasion I saw him (weighing around 187) bench press 405 for 8 reps easy, all controlled with a pause, and it too was ALL RAW.
When you add contest weight, contest preparation, and lifting suits/shirts, then in the world of powerlifting, pound for pound he IS THE STRONGEST PERSON IN THE WORLD.
Athlete's ProfileAt peak he trains with weights 1 every 3 weeks. 5'9 185 lb black male 29 years old Best lifts as follows: arm curl 320lbs deadlift 800 squat 750 bench only 400lbs(weak event) bent over row 500lbs weighted dips 200lbs cleans 315+ lbs shrugs 950lbs all lifts were done at 180-185 lbs
he's not the strongest in the world pound for pound! Very impressive though! I read not to long ago about a 138 pound guy i think! and he was repping like 505 on the bench or something like that plus his squat dead lift etccc.......... was all insane!
Nice lifts! When I was training in Indy last month I heard your name tossed around an awful lot.
While there, I competed in an APA-WPA event, taking the world record for deadlift in my class (220#/men's open drug tested) with a 702# pull. I've still a long way to go!
Ron Palmer won the title of World's Strongest Man when he lifted 12.3 times his own body weight in the 165 lbs. class in three categories: benchpress, deadlift, and squat. He set records again in the 181 lbs. class, and now, at 198 lbs. he is expected to break all the records again. Pound-for-pound, he was and still is the strongest man in the world. No one else has ever lifted 12.3 times their own body weight in competition.
I was in jail with this guy and he benched two 250 lbs guys at once
