@ThebraveJG if you've got an i5 processor and want to upgrade... you can't. The processors aren't as easily upgradable as other components in the iMac. Id strongly recommend getting an SSD drive if you want to see a speed boost.

Hey man, I'm going to be getting the MBP 13" this summer and noticed I use the same mouse. I looked at it online and there is no fix for it. Logitech needs to send out an update driver for it and have not done so yet. Till then scroll speed away? :)

I'm on the fence right now between a Macbook Pro 13 and a Toshiba P500. I've always been a PC user so the switch will be a big one for me. I was wondering if anyone has used virtualbox to run ubuntu or windows vista and your experiences. I love the design of the Mac, but I'm worried for the cost I could get a lot more powerful PC. My suggestion (for what its worth) is to take the dip and go for the Mac. Worst comes to worse, you can always sell it (never heard anyone doing this). You will get best of both worlds on the iMac. You can choose to run Windows through a virtual machine etc. Well worth every penny - go with the student discounts (take along any student) and theres a lot of savings to be made. You might also want to consider the refurb store (most of the time, its all new stuff)

I have had the same problem with my logitech VX revolution. I think i've solved this issue: What I did was I went to the logitech control center in system preferences and configured the settings for scrolling for each application I use, in other worlds, choose Safari (or any program) from the drop menu and then click on the setting for the scroll wheel and set the speed and acceleration at the bottom. Do this with all applications and the problem will be solved!!! Let me know if this helps.

Pinor, my advise to you is to get the Macbook Pro. The white one is really nice but it doesn't have the SD card slot, firewire 800 port and not even the backlit keyboard.

Well I decided I was gonna go for the pro because its got the back lit keyboard and the SD card port and firewire port. I also decided pro over white cos i get the feeling the white will scratch easily where as the pro wont cos its aluminium. I also think the macbook pro looks quite a bit nicer than the white macbook. However, id wait till end of january cos rumours are they're gonna upgrade pro with better CPU. Google mac rumours and go on buyers guide its a good site for advice on buying a mac

A) you don't need an antivirus with Mac. For the time being anyway. Theres Norton and stuff you could go with but I wouldn't recommend installing any. Open office is meant to be good - ive heard good things about it. I use iLife, works a treat. Look forward to your video and do put it up as a video response to this one, Would like to see it ;)

Just to say the build quality is just perfect and the well thought out layout is suberb. It only has 2 moving parts and noticed no cooling vents, maybe the all ally case takes the heat hey? Really will get the pro now and your right the extra £££'s are worth it. I Walked passed the PC section while leaving and they looked so cluttered and confusing fussy mess. Looking forward to getting the mac very much indeed:-)

It was a apple stand in a main electronic megastore. So it wasn't a apple shop as such. But that's great with open office for free. The 3 year apple care is about £190 here it seems alot but I could add this within the 1st year and not right away hey? I've bought many electronic goods and alway taken extra cover but never used it so makes me think is it????? But thank you again for your speedy help.

Yeah, you can add the 3 years at the end of the first (basic) year that you get free. Over the year, you can sort of get an estimate as to how your getting on and if you encounter any problems - and if its then worth getting the additional 2 years. Again, you might find at the end of the year that you'd be better selling your current Apple machine and then using that money, with the £190 you were going to pay for applecare, on a brand spanking new one.

1. Can i down load office software for free? (no microsoft)

2. Do I need extra anti virus?

3. Is the 3 year cover really worth it?

4. Does it come with snow leopard?

Snow leopard was not on the MacBook pro in the shop as it was not available yet. But will be a free upgrade later.

Hey - was it a 'proper' apple store you were at? If its a proper apple store, they should of had Snow Leopard already installed. Yes, you can install free office software (open office etc...). Mac's dont get viruses (yet) thus no need for any AV. The coding for the Mac is quite superior to Windows hence its safe. YES, the 3 years is worth it if your planning to keep it for a good few years. Deffo go for it.

I would avoid PC World. For the same amount, you can buy online or at your local Apple Store. The base Macbook Pro will be more than enough, you might even want to consider getting the white Macbook. If your not in a hurry - I would advise waiting till mid October... new ranges in the Macbook are 'rumoured'... I would also advise that you take part in the student promo... you dont have to be a student, if you know anyone then there are a few savings i.e. £115 instant discount on the MBP for eg.

I don't play games just Internet photos music and light office sometimes. Hell yes. I don't think there are any Apple stores in Egypt - try a reseller. I would deffo go with it. Furthermore, if you order from the online store and you don't like it (which I highly doubt) you have a 14 day period to return it. But trust me, it wont get to that. And you'll be thanking me ;)

Hey buddy, I just subscribed. I have enjoyed your videos. I also work at an american Apple Retailer. Anyway, I saw you were questioning why the built in battery. They had to have it built in so they could make the battery bigger and therefore have a better battery life. But the built in battery is covered under applecare whereas the replaceable battery only had a one year warranty.
