  • Hey folk--desperately need Roy's version of "When We Go Rolling Home" (Tams) posted. I'm asked to learn it to sing on stage in two weeks and I can't find a recording of it available, nor does it seem to be posted.

    Can anyone help? Thanks!

  • Beautiful. Roy is a great radical and an absolute legend!

  • Would love to see a video of "The Curtains of old Joe's House" Another wonderful plea for tolerance.

  • We used to listen to this album in the car when we were kids. I love this song so much - genuinely brings a tear to my eye. Beautiful.

  • @tedsplitter what album is this song from? i so want to buy it!! cheers :)

  • Magical !!!

  • I also saw Roy Bailey at Towersey. What a wonderful performer.

  • @petunia942 Me too! feels a long time ago now! saw him at chippenham last year too- woo for the teenagers in the front row! Anyone who saw that particular performance and remembers the verse of "skin" he did for the teens only, that was me and my mates' musical debut xD

  • Just seen Roy Bailey @ Towersey Music Festival. For 74 years old, he still has it in him. Was great what he did with the Spooky Men too :)

  • I love this song. Thanks for the beautiful rendition!

  • i used to listen to this as i fell asleep when i was little!!

  • Lucky... lucky... lucky you (wifeyfiko)!

    And thanks for saying so...

it is heartwarming to know this song reaches some actual children and not just our collective "inner child".

The line "I will sing you a song no one sang to me," waters my eyes, not just because no one sang it to me, but because no one sang it to my mom or my dad. Thanks to Fred and Roy and the Flirtations and so many others who now do sing it to me. Roy's lilt on the song is great for this lullaby!

  • Wonderfull! I attempt to sing this song, for my one and only beautiful granddaughter, but some times the emotion gets the better of me! But i will never stop singing it for her!

  • :) aww thats beautiful it really helps you when your down xxx

  • Thank you for sharing this, I've been looking for a recording for ages (apart from the ancient casette that was bought for my first birthday lol)

  • Thankyou so much for adding this so - I absolutely LOVE it. Beautiful.
