Same sex attraction has always exited in the human animal, and exists in the animal kingdom, so it is not a deviation. Also, gay gene theory, science is still out on that, due to 70% of twins both being gay. It is likely either both nature and nurture, or a condition that occurs in the womb.

70% is a pretty terrible rate of correlation between twins. Considering they have the exact same genes most were raised by the same parents, in the same community, etc. That pretty well disproves your theory entirely.

@jay9465 Why would someone do that? Purposely be at risk of losing their job for no other reason than who they love? Not being allowed the same rights that come with marriage? Risking having hate crimes committed against them. Being murdered, beaten and humiliated? Risking losing the custody of a child if their partner dies? Losing the love of their family and friends? Think about it, its ridiculous. These things don't mean anything to you because you take these things for granted. Lucky you.

@rainbowpride76 You have the same rights as I do. You can marry someone of the opposite sex and be granted all of the same rights I get. A person’s sexual orientation is not something you can base rights off of, it is a personal choice. The person chooses to be gay or lesbian. If I wanted to I could choose today to become gay knowing full well all of the connotations that come with that choice. Being gay or lesbian is not the same as being black or a woman.

It is not a choice, & I think that deep down you know that you couldn't choose or 'decide' to be gay, just as you can't choose what size feet you have, or what your natural hair colour is. It's exactly the same way for gay people. Why do you think so many young people attempt suicide because of their sexuality & the worry of how other people will react to them? If it was a choice they would just say 'Nah, I'm gonna be straight, no need for the overdose..'

I have lived in California & the pacific North West. I have had my fare share of this plight. Frankly I'm sick of having this gay agenda forced down my thought by the media, people, and now the president. Homosexuality is now and always has been a sexual deviation, and therefore should be treated as such.

@jay9465 First off, marriage is a religious institution. I could care less for religion, myth and fairy tales people tell themselves to feel better about death. The state should not be condoning marriage. All unions should be civil unions in the eyes of the state, and then if people want to get married in the church they should be free to do that. Since marriage grants certain rights that are the domain of the state, religion should butt out.

@jay9465 About bi-sexuals, there is a continuum of attraction, some people fall in the middle and hanse there are bi-sexuals. Same sex attraction has always exited in the human animal, and exists in the animal kingdom, so it is not a deviation. Also, gay gene theory, science is still out on that, due to 70% of twins both being gay. It is likely either both nature and nurture, or a condition that occurs in the womb.

@SkyPanther0 The same could be said of all behaviors. If you had two brothers who both played soccer would you then argue that they had no choice but to become soccer players? Or that enjoying playing soccer was a genetic condition? Or due to something that occured in the womb?
70% is a pretty terrible rate of correlation between twins. Considering they have the exact same genes most were raised by the same parents, in the same community, etc. That pretty well disproves your theory entirely.

@ArchNME Actually that points to a combination. Since 70% is pretty high. There is a correlation between birth order in brothers; the likelihood of one being gay rises each time the mother has a boy. Its not the same to soccer. The things straight men find sexually appealing in women does not translate to gay men. Its a different attraction. I am not sure why thats hard to understand. The things you find hot in the opposite sex, homosexuals do not find hot. Its not a conscious choice.

@SkyPanther0 No 70% correlation between twins is terrible and is pretty much solid proof it's not genetic. You may not be able to exactly choose what you like but it's no different than anything else. I don't like indian food for instance but if I grew up in Mumbai it would probably be different. You weren't born to be gay any more than I was born to hate indian food.

Ask any person that is not Bi-sexual if they chose to feel attraction to the sex they do. When did you choose to like women? Did you wake up one day and say, "HAY!.. I think I like women today!"

We are all colored by our experiences. I notice that I find things attractive in woman that remind me of past sexual partners with whom I had had a rewarding experience. It's no different.

Just like there are gay men that hide the fact, and marry women, and then cheat on them with men. There is a difference between learning to appreciate something, an acquired taste, and something you plain like without any prompt to do so. @ArchNME I don't think I am so different... I think sexual orientation is a small part of a person. And for some reason people make Mountains Out of Mole Hills based on who someone loves or is attracted to. This is my issue with the "gay social scene", and with "gay pride parades". Marching for equality I support, but most pride parades have turned into something else, more like gay versions of Mardi Gras.

@SkyPanther0 I know this may raise your ire but I think that humans natural sexual attraction is towards the opposite sex, that's kinda how we all got here. Not saying unnatural is bad or you can't be drawn to something unnatural. I think there is an innate desire to reproduce within us all though. I'm just saying if you found a way to see attractiveness in the opposite sex it could hardly be called unnatural. Left handed people can still pass on their genes without using their right hand.

@ArchNME If it were unnatural is a misnomer. If something is unnatural it would not exist. We categorize things that way; nature does not. For instance humans cannot fly, naturally, so its unnatural. But animals and humans, being animals have relations with the same sex. So its not unnatural, because it exists. reproducing is also not the only reason sex exists. See the countless of stories of gay men/women marrying straight people, and then cheating or divorcing due to them being, gay.

Lots of people get divorced and find new partners for various reasons. You can enjoy things for a time and then stop.

@SkyPanther0 I can't adopt because I'm not married to a woman either. I did serve in the military(don't judge) and I had to lie about a lot of things, blind patriotism, respecting higher ranking people, my history of drug use, etc...
You do have equal rights as me, because if I had sex with a man in the last five years even if I didn't enjoy it they wouldn't let me give blood either. That was about AIDS anyway though and giving blood?? really?? that's a privilege now?? who cares.

@SkyPanther0 At the time that blood thing was implemented AIDS was mostly a gay disease and our ability to test for it very poor. I think it was a reasonable regulation to keep the blood supply clean. It's probably a bit dated now with improved testing they'll probably get rid of it eventually.
Like I said before it's giving blood. So, give me a break. I mean it's not like you are banned from receiving it. Now that would be something to get upset about.
