It has been fashionable over the past ten years or so for people to do a little research on the Bible or the early Church and then to use that research in an attempt to discredit the Chruch's faith.

If I were muslim I wouldn't defend a man who probably doesn't think much of Islam either. Ehrman also believes Paul was a true apostle and knew Jesus reletives and desciples and met with James in Jerusalem in 35 A.D. Muslims are desperate forsure. Anyway this is a stupid video 1 *.

1. Whether Ehrman thinks much of Islam or not is irrelevant here. Ehrman is the world's foremost authority on the Bible's manuscripts. He is not an authority on the Quran. Are you saying that Muslims should only use the materials written by Muslim advocates? This is absurd top say the least.

2. Paul was a false Apostle according to the Old Testament. Again whether Ehrman thinks otherwise is irrelevant. You also have to factor in his Christian background. He is an ex-Christian.

4. Muslims are not desperate. Muslims are spreading the truth. We do not care where that truth comes from. What matters to us is the truth.

You do know the reason Bart Ehrman became an agnostic was because he felt there was too much pain and suffering for a God to exist, right? He talks about it in his books.

He also left Christianity because the Bible could not provide a reasonable answer for why we suffer.

One of the reason is that the Christian doctrine doesn't answer why humans suffer, your doctrines are based on emotions, you wish that God is your father, but in reality , chrisitans are suffering like any other people on earth. You feel pain, you die from diseases, floods, fires... Although your sins are fully paid ! Am I wrong?
