@Xyrelt - The Romans did write the New Testament. The ministry of Jesus Christ as told in the gospels is based on the conquests of Titus over the Jews. That leads us onto the next question... therefore the Romans invented Jesus Christ and he wasn't a real individual. If he was then his life would be so far removed from the gospels Jesus that it's nonsense saying they where the same person.

A majority of what I found ties into the conspiracy that the Romans wrote the Bible to control the masses, and that their bloodlines essentially play a major part in global governments today. The Zeitgeist series has like 7 hours or so of film. The first 20 or 30 mins was about the bible and then its barely ever mentioned again. This is not Zeitgeist refuted, this is just trying to explain a old old out dated book of fables and myths.

I have to admit 2 things 1st I'm a fan of zeitgeist, and that this was very well done. I like how i points out a few of the things that "Christians" believe to be holy celebrations are actually pagan beliefs and rituals and that true christians view violence to be abhorrent. Did you watch any of the videos. He debunks each and every "fact" from Zeitgeist. Just go down the line. If you had watched and listened you would have seen the debunking. Example: Zeitgeist says there is no historical record of Jesus, when in fact there are 100s of records of his existence. Which do you believe? K the movie is great and all but they only talk about the religous aspect of Zeitgeist. The most important part is about how our government is fucking us over. I'm more worried about the present and future than the biblical past that occured 2000 years ago. i decided to be open minded and watch all 10 of these partial clips. most of your counter claims are predictable, some are kind of interesting, although whether there were a few more chronicles of jesus' existence than stated in the zeitgeist movie, it doesn't mean that it is proof of him as being a "son of a god". apart from all your retorts, there is evidence of gods and sons (and daughters) of gods prior to christianity regardless of any other factors.

Christianity stands for and should be something great. However it is not! The same goes for Hinduism, Bhuddism, Islam, and many other religions. the fact that they use the bible as point of reference is a considerably weak argument by most non Christians. Though i am not a christian, i do find this video compelling. I respect religions of every nature. What makes zeitgeist strong is its understanding of evolving. The nature of christianity does limit new information to a degree. @Burbridge92 Christians even fail to differentiate between Theistic Satanists and LaVeyan Satanists, LaVeyan Satanists (the one's who worship in the Church of Satan and read the Satanic Bible) do not believe in Satan, their beliefs are based on Pagan faiths, and the term "Satanism" is only used to show their contempt for the way Christianity and its followers behave. Education is what is needed, and a religion which is only large because of indoctrination of the young needs to be criticized.

In other words he came to transform Gods rightous wrath into mercy. And who were the great slavery fighters, the ones who broke the trade in England and who faught it all there lives in the U.S.? @pablocoon Its good how people can chop and change or except what they want and disregard others. Some Christian morals are good, but again i don't have to be Christian to enforce them.. Being good to others is a matter of choice, not a matter of religion.. you would ofcourse disagree, but i have seen Christianity as one of the most radical religions ( with the highest bodycount over any ). @SoulsOfThePure The atrocities mentioned are not from true Christians. Jesus's teachings never included violence or retaliation of any kind. Now GOD's wrath in the old testament was laid out justly to all who deserve it (we all do). As Christians however we are called to conform to the image of Christ JESUS. True Christians are poor in spirit, humble minded, quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Please don't twist scripture like those who use it to justify their evil ways.

@Xyrelt - The Romans did write the New Testament. The ministry of Jesus Christ as told in the gospels is based on the conquests of Titus over the Jews. That leads us onto the next question... therefore the Romans invented Jesus Christ and he wasn't a real individual. If he was then his life would be so far removed from the gospels Jesus that it's nonsense saying they where the same person.
Christianity spread fast because of God??? I'll stick with the Roman Empire, it's realistic and logical.

The Zeitgeist series has like 7 hours or so of film. The first 20 or 30 mins was about the bible and then its barely ever mentioned again. This is not Zeitgeist refuted, this is just trying to explain a old old out dated book of fables and myths.

I have to admit 2 things 1st I'm a fan of zeitgeist, and that this was very well done. I like how i points out a few of the things that "Christians" believe to be holy celebrations are actually pagan beliefs and rituals and that true christians view violence to be abhorrent. Sadly this is rarely seen in them. My personal shades of doubt are A) History is written by the victors and most pagan ideas are pass orally stone carving were done for special places but for the most part it was the spoken

Example: Zeitgeist says there is no historical record of Jesus, when in fact there are 100s of records of his existence. Which do you believe? @pgdsmca He did address it shortly towards the beginning. In fact, many of the prophecies in the Zeitgeist film regarding the future parallel biblical or otherwise commonly held Christian prophecies. A good example would be a comparison of the RFID chip nonsense and the mark of the beast.

the bottom line is that once we remove you or acharya s, etc, from the equation, we are dealing with issues of conscience. no rational person would believe in a supernatural power, only in issues of conscience. frankly, i'm sick of hearing all the various religion's arguments. i also notice that christians spend a lot of time continuously convincing each other of the bible's authenticity and do very little in the way of witnessing or helping (inspiring) non-believers.

i decided to be open minded and watch all 10 of these partial clips. most of your counter claims are predictable, some are kind of interesting, although whether there were a few more chronicles of jesus' existence than stated in the zeitgeist movie, it doesn't mean that it is proof of him as being a "son of a god". apart from all your retorts, there is evidence of gods and sons (and daughters) of gods prior to christianity regardless of any other factors.

Christianity stands for and should be something great. However it is not! The same goes for Hinduism, Bhuddism, Islam, and many other religions. This, however, does not mean that ne of them are right. Nor does it mean that because some1 is 1 of these religions, they are a good or bad person. Zeitgeist wasn't made to send a message that Christians are stupid and/or evil, it was made 2 tell ppl the facts(not saying everything in the movie is, but most of it) and let them draw their own conclusion.

the fact that they use the bible as point of reference is a considerably weak argument by most non Christians. Though i am not a christian, i do find this video compelling. I respect religions of every nature. What makes zeitgeist strong is its understanding of evolving. The nature of christianity does limit new information to a degree. I do however think the film is respectable.

Much of the Federal Reserve information may appear to be correct; but, in study of the actual law and history they are off on several key points which make the information for naught. We must also question the intentions of the movie makers. I can say Zeitgeist is NWO propoganda meant to confuse and distract from real truth.

All the attacks on Atheists that I've seen on this video have referred to us as "Satanists" and accused us of being scared of God. Now GOD's wrath in the old testament was laid out justly to all who deserve it (we all do). As Christians however we are called to conform to the image of Christ JESUS. There are NO born again Christians in the KKK or Nazi regime. Maybe those pretending, but it would be impossible according to scripture. Read the Gospel or listen to a solid preacher like John Piper and you will understand what I mean. Traditions of men are placed as Biblical principal when they have nothing to do with the Gospel.

Somebody PLEASE explain to me why it is mainly christians who are trying to refute this documentary... first of all the part that is always being refuted is just the first 30 min of a 2 HOUR MIOVIE, what about the other 1 1/2 hours?... second if you know anything about marketing, propaganda (which funny enough started with christianity), mind control, or the history of the bible/christianity/new testament. Then you would know the christian faith has been and still is used to control people.

@jonny12021984 Of course the christian faith(and many others)has been used for social control. Still, that is in no way the purpose of christianity. Now, to do with the first part of Zeitgeist always being the one that is refuted, you should check up on the debunking of 911 conspiracy theorists. At least the people who stand on the side of that the gov. "made it happen" theory have been soundly disproven.

(though if you actually research religion and social psychology carefully it is esy to come to that conclusion)... I also did not say anything about the 911 conspiracy being refuted or random cases that may do so well... I am speaking on REFUTING ZEITGEIST. There are ALOT of claims in the Zeitgeist documentary, however the ONLY claim that seems to get refutable attention are the religious claims.

how can somwthing that is moraly right be wrong ? wether it was invented 2000 years ago or yesterday or wether its the truth , right will always be right . our comon sense does tell us right from wrong . we know when someone is hurt because they cry etc also we know when a person is happy because they laugh , smile . most religions share the same moral principles .
