Beatle nerds sometimes must understand that even their idols are flawed...John and Paul and George were jealous of Pete's good looks and did not want him to steal the show...so they brought in big nosed Richard. So I feel sorry for Pete.
I've always found that contention hilarious, considering I don't think Pete Best was all that attractive. I wonder why John and George didn't try to oust Paul from the band as well? I mean, surely they must have been jealous of Paul being labeled the cute one if they were jealous of Pete's "good looks." Lol.
Anyway, the decision to give Pete the boot was made after the others learned that George Martin felt Pete's drumming was not up to par. So I'm sure that had a lot to do with it.
John started the band. Paul joined and brought in George. They never really had a dedicated drummer until Pete. Pete got shafted. Yet to this day Pete is very humble about the whole experience...therefore he has my respect.

Pete forever...Ringo never. When Pete was kicked out of the band their was a fan revolt...George Harrision got a black eye.
