I admire the way many people stood by Bush in the days, weeks, and months after the horror of 9/11. However, I believe it was sick of Bush and those around him to take advantage of such a tragedy and use it as a scare tactic. My biggest fear about a similar attack now is having conservatives blame it on electing Obama instead of McCain, and then having them say, this attack wouldn't have happened if McCain had been elected.

The chances of dying in a terrorist attack are very small. You are much more likely to die in a traffic accident, get struck by lightning, be random victim of violence, or even if you have no such history, an allergic reaction than you are in a terrorist attack.
