But there is also what is called "white privilege" (yes, it is a real concept and unfortunately reality) where unfortunately in this country, being of color comes at a disadvantage.
@keg2014 (cont) This means that black women DO in fact have to work harder to receive some of the same advantages that white women don't neccesarily have to work as hard for. My best friends WHITE READHEADED mother had her at 18 her WHITE dad died from a drug overdose b4 she was 1 her mom then had two children with another man, they split up and she then had a baby with another man she is with no She has never been married she is 35 with 4 kids 3 baby daddies ALL WHITE and her eldest, my best friend who is only 17 this week made her 35 year old mother a grandmother now tell me that white people are better or richer or smarter than blacks.

I see a white woman with three kids I see a mother. I see a blacked woman with three kids I see a normal mother, same with a Latino or mixed race. I have many white friends and I don't generally have anything against them. Only white South Africans. @keg2014 That's not fair to say. Just because you're white, doesn't mean you're exempt from any hardship, absolutely. Every person regardless of their race encounters adversity, that is a given. But there is also what is called "white privilege" (yes, it is a real concept and unfortunately reality) where unfortunately in this country, being of color comes at a disadvantage.

@george39821 I am from the USA and have lived here in chile for 3 years (have a wife and son both from here) and the reason that people think that is because the latinos that immigrate to the USA are mostly poorer and darker skinned. The richer, lighter skinned ones wouldn't have to go to the USA to make a better life, they already have a good one in their own country.
Also the term "America", is short for "United States of America", it's not to exclude the rest of the continent.
