Hey, I'm not the kind of person to judge, since I only played through this game once up to Chapter 4 (I think).
Well I do know about the other way to kill him by just shooting the parasite when it shows itself. I just decided to use the knife. But using a high powered weapon is probably the better way to kill him. You should try playing the rest of the game. It can become addicting :-D
Another fairly easy way to kill him is to get him on his knee's like normal...then use a Rocket Launcher and shoot the parasite. I did it my second time I played through the game. It's the easy way out, but it conserves ammo! :D
Does doggy die? XD (My main consern) Yeah I had completed the game and got an infinate rocket launcher, but my memory was deleted so I'm stumped. :(

The system I'm playing this game on is the Gamecube version. But I have the game for both this and PS2.

That's true. He'd be dead in about 3 minutes. But I don't like to use that much money on a Rocket Launcher just for El Gigante.
