I wrote to the MOD at the start of the war to complain about the lack of armoured vehicles & having troops walk about without helmets .

They wrote back to say it was so that the Afghans would see our troops as less treatening & in a friendly light. Since then hundreds have died for lack of proper equipment, most of those deaths were avoidable had our troops not been forced into some nonsense pc hearts and minds role against an enemy that is so extreme they kill other muslims for being moderate
