  • Blank video is perfect, that way we can read comments while listening and not worry about missing the vid! You're a genius!

  • Don't hate, fornicate!

  • Thanks for posting a good sound quality version of this great track, PullMyFing! One of my favourites! A sharp and subtle song. Many Blessings! xxxxx

  • What Video, who cares, its about the music, the life of the song , and its message through words.

  • Man the vid for this song really nailed the end of the Cold War better than the CIA.

  • One of Jackson Browne's best songs.....

  • you nailed it buddy, it's always about the music....you may have started something here...johnnie walker black, the black card from american express...."lawyers in love - black" very cool, glad we're on the cutting edge

  • I've always liked Jackson Brown's music despite the lyrical content. His need to toss in references to aliens always seemed to get in the way for me. The key to lyrical content are timeless and broadly relateable idea's. Aliens? Your sort of aiming at the narrow end of the wedge with references like that. And I think that's hurt his career. I've love to see his catalog done over with lyrics that feel more approachable. Musically the man gifted, but he needs a writing partner.

  • great 83' hit.....college memories

  • Thank you for an awesome quality upload of an absolutely brilliant song.

  • If the visuals were that big a deal,28,000+ people wouldn't have "watched" this.

  • people need a video cuz our society has no attention span... kinda like what this song is about

  • Great audio quality! Thanks for the upload.

  • I agree! This is not about the video. Regardless of political spectrum this is an incredible song.

  • LOVE this song - when I'm with family & D.C. comes up in a conversation we all go - "Washington - the capital" ...

  • You know, I absolutely love this song but I have always wondered what he meant with the whole " Lawyers in Love" part of this song. It doesnt seem to fit! lol :-P This is most certainly my favorite song from Jackson Browne though! It is just a great song and of course there are so many memories tied to this song. Memories of youth in the 80's and all the fun and crazy times I had back then. What a time that was and a time I will always cherish! I just looove the 80's and I miss it so much! :-(

  • I disagree. If you want to hear music, go to grooveshark. YouTube's for lookin' :-)

  • great times ,, great everything,,, times were simple

  • Thanks! :)

  • I really love this song.

  • screw those morons that need a video..great audio is what music's all about !

  • GREAT SONG-THANX!

  • Wow, all this hub-bub over the lack of video. Thanks to those who’ve got my back on the audio quality thing – that’s all I’m about. I rarely watch video’s, usually just cue my songs, then I’m off doing other things. Had I known this would have to stay up once disputed and accepted, I would have added the album cover first – my bad. I learned. 3 dislikes, though? WTF happened to them in their youth? This is a perfect song and we’ve got the audio locked, baby. Don’t hate, appreciate…

    Peace

  • @PullMyFing Word.

  • its just not complete without the vedio which was prevalent on mtv at the time it came out

  • A great song that akes me back. I like the song better than a darn video.

  • I'm just happy I can HEAR it...enough for me!

  • law school days (daze???) 1983. . .

  • law school days (daze???) 1983. . .

  • I think I'm to drunk I can't see, everything is pitch black.

  • Thanks for the great audio! Who cares about the video. It's Musictube for me anyway. Favorited!

  • No problem with the blank screen... it was pretty obvious on the thumbnail and is fine if I just want to hear the song. Thanks for posting! If I want to see the video, I'll just click on a different link.

  • oh for crying out loud...click on another track that shows video of this song if that's what you want...she comments while belly laughing and rolling her eyes

  • @mattkrause1979 @GoliamNos

Listen, I'm not trying to hate because I love this song but, this is YouTube. A video sharing website, the video does matter. If you just wanted the song you could just go download the song. Once again not trying to be a hater, just pointing out a simple fact.

  • Added to favorights......

  • BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES, GOOD OLD DAYS GONE, FOREVER!!!!!

  • Ok, Ok, Listening to this during a drive in a senic setting, like PCH along the Ca. coast. That's what I'm talkin' about.

  • Great sound ,,Thanks for the upload,,

  • music videos are pretty much dead, its all just about the music again!!

    great song!!

  • I guess it's just about the Cold War's arms race instead of focusing resources on American families and things that matter.

  • I think the song is about consumer society and its lack of moral values. During the Regan administration and one of the tensest periods of the Cold War it's incredible it was on Friday Night Videos. I love the song but the video would also bring so many memories. It's even more incredible that you can't see the original video on youtube.

  • love that doo wap thing he does on this. this song always makes me smile

  • i like the song - so the video doesn't matter....

  • A good song, that is if you're willing to look past its message (with Jackson Browne being a die-hard liberal). A history-making song in a way, since the U.S.S.R. no longer exists. I don't quite understand the lyric: "...the U.S.S.R. will be open soon - as vacation land for lawyers in love.". I can't even begin to fathom what that even means! Anyway, a good song. "Lawyers In Love" peaked on the U.S. Billboard pop singles chart in October 1983!

    Bravo, Jackson Browne!

  • "A good song, that is if you're willing to look past its message (with Jackson Browne being a die-hard liberal)"...."I don't quite understand the lyric: "...the U.S.S.R. will be open soon...""

Remember when Muslims villified the Satanic Verses but hadn't actually read it yet? You guys villify things you haven't even UNDERSTOOD yet, even though you HAVE heard them

And what's really sad is it is true - the USSR was sold within years of being opened to capitalism, just like Iraq

  • @VvAnarchangelvV mind posting more about this?

  • Calling people names over the internet, what bravery...I'm sure you found the video, but I bet the song doesn't sound as good as this, and that's more important.

  • @absoluteabsence000 you mentioned drumwork -- you might enjoy a tune from a band called Netsky -- 'Your way"

  • My favorite jackson browne tune... thanks for posting

  • Clyde Jackson hit #13 in Billboard, 9-10-83. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • Thanks for providing this hard-to-find song. Sometimes the best videos are in one's own head.

  • Thanks for providing this hard-to-find song.

  • thats correct. i more interested in hear brilliant music than interested in videos. thanks for posting this version...

  • @GoliamNos If you wanted to hear "brilliant" music your listening to the wrong song....ohhh sha la la......aaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaa

  • WHO CARES ABOUT THE VIDEO!? The song is what matters, and your audio quality is the better than anyone's on this song. Yes, it IS a good video, but it's hard to get good audio quality along with video broadcasts- SO LAY OFF PEOPLE!

  • @mattkrause1979 WOW -- I mean I love the song but I would have enjoyed watching the video too -- hope thats ok -- ya dont have to get mad LOL

  • @mattkrause1979

It is much more enjoyable to watch the briefcase drill team than imagine it. That's why.

  • @mattkrause1979 Indeed. It's the song. Always has been.

  • JUST A BLACK SCREEN NO VIDEO.

  • Jackson Browne's best ever!

  • @50Emerald Agreed!

  • Nice audio...now about the visual....

  • Great song!!!

  • This is a great tune - had forgotten about it until I heard on satellite radio. INstantly took me way back. Nice clear version - thank you for posting!
