I am leaving soon for my tour of europe. Just bought my new bike and all the gear, and i cant wait, And the good thing is.... I dont know when i will return home!!!
I noticed you guys pedal in a fairly low gear. Well, at least it appears that your RPM's are a lot faster than mine when I ride long distances.. What is your experience with using a slightly higher gear, lower pedal RPM's as it relates to fatigue? Does pedaliing more in a low gear use less energy? Just thinkin.
We have learned in our 7 years of travel that one person's "music sucks" is another person's masterpiece. The music is the Grateful Dead a band with a huge cult following. Keep on trucking!
They're perfectly fine and happy with their way of life living in villages just because you live in modern city doesn't mean everyone else who don't are miserable. There's much more than money and high- tech lifestyle to live a happy life.
man, now this is living life to the fullest. people these days are too worried about how they look, what tv shows are going to be on, and so on. these guys know how to live life! i want to tour another country one day, would be awesome!
Just back from cycling from Luang Prabang to Vientiane. The video captures it well - kids in EVERY village running onto the road, waving, smiling and saying hello. Great riding, but dang those mountains south of LP are long and steep!
Oh my gosh! I am so excited finding your videos on youtube (Perhaps I am the last to know). I can't wait for your next book release. Stay on the road :)
How wonderful it is to be able to do what you do. As long as you treasure and love the place you visit like your own, the place will remain beautiful for many earth loving people to enjoy. Thank you for visiting my mother/father land.
You must be Homng or crazy. you should read history book or something. Some of Hmong are Laos that live in the mountain, some of them got kick out of the country and that why they are mad crazy just like u haha
I'm agree with you Foreverilovefareast. My uncle is part of the laos army. He said "most of the people in the jungle are wanted for a crime, that's why they are hidding in there." Why hiding if you not wanted, most of the people came from the jungle(hmong people) live in sieng-krung Laos.
Chefkou I am truly disagree with you and your comment about Laos! IS ALL A LIE!!!!!!
I have been to Laos and i know a lot of people who visit that country. it a lovely living country people are happy ,friendly, cheap food and beautiful culture and it is absolutely not true the the comment u said about Laos!. there are crimes every where, maybe you should do more research before u tell a lie to everybody. i don't know what u have against Laos but u should keep your mind open.
laos may seem beautiful here, but if you know what's going on out there in the jungle of laos it's not so beautiful. They are filthy communist country who kills, raped, and tortured women, young girls, and many families. Don't let this country fool all of you of being beautiful, because behind this beauty there are killing secrets. Want more info go to youtube Hmong tortured and you'll see what I'm talking about. Thanks! much love and save your money& go elsewhere much beautiful.

I'd love to do this, but I have a question. How did you finance such a long trip? Did you have to save money beforehand, or did you just go?
I don't have a lot of money, so i'd be grateful if you could explain that in some detail. :)
