Continuing what I was saying since I ran out of space. After you used that tongue scraping device you can still see quite a bit of whiteness still on your tongue where as with the way I said which should be the standard leaves your tongue red with no whiteness at all.
Those tongue scrapers and the device you used for cleaning your tongue are useless and a waste of money when all you have to do is brush your tongue with a toothbrush after brushing your teeth and then with the toothpaste still in your mouth brush your tongue, then after rinse, and after that brush your tongue a few more times with just the toothbrush and your done and your tongue is red with no whiteness and smells clean. I've been doing it since I was a kid and has caused no problems.
@Roc790 I do the same thing, and feel that it cleans my tongue very well too. I think it's good to do it this way also because with saliva/water and toothpaste, it seems to clean deeper :]

Your tongue has a white color - that is a symptom of lacking in nutrition. When that happens to me I make sure I eat many more fruits and vegetable and in a few days my tongue goes back to being totally pink with no white on it at all. I often notice this on closeups of singers - white tongue you do not want, You want ti to be totally pink with no white at all - that will mean that your digestive system is in top order and your nutritional needs are being met.
It's so weird: I have seen a lot of people that has a lot of that goo on their tongue... I kinda don't get the same thing - my tongue is always deep pink, and almost never gets that goo on it... maybe bacteria don't like to poop on my tongue....

For us poor folks, gently rubbing a warm wet washcloth over your tongue will do the same thing. This will lubricate your tongue as well. This is a home remedy for people with Thrush, which is a yeast problem in the mouth. Also, eating yogurt works great for preventing the problem of bad bacteria in the mouth.
can you do a video on proper sterilization of our hands? i'm never sure that my hands are completely clean when i'm washing my face or touching it to apply makeup. i wonder if my soap is doing its job or if the towel i dry my hands with contains more bacteria!

Yes the tongue has bacteria but if people don't floss they will have a deep rotting smell. Yes brush your tongue and use mouthwash and use a waterpik.

When I'm done brushing my teeth, I put hydrogen peroxide on my tooth brush. Brush my toung downwards making sure not to swallow it. And spit and rise. It makes you tounge all foamy but it works
I used to have such bad breath even with scraping my tongue, flossing, and using listerine twice a day. Then I googled and found a mouth wash called Smart Mouth. It zapped my bad breath right away and no morning breath either! go BUY IT! It's available at Walmart

I use a tongue scraper every time I brush my teeth--the idea of not using it and leaving all that crap there disgusts me. @2467bri If you have blank CDs, use one as a tongue scraper. It's dull on the sides, so it won't irritate your tastebuds. It actually works pretty well as a tongue scraper. :)
I'm not fully done watching this video so I'm not sure you touch base on the fact that bad breath also comes from the stomach and sinus cavity. Let's say you have a sinus infection...that will cause bad breath also. Doctors actually use that as a sign of a sinus infection. (I'm an RN and learned this is my A&P classes) :)

For me the biggest cause of bad breath after the age of 40 can be food stuck between gums. Morr noticeable if you have receding gums.

For us poor folks, gently rubbing a warm wet washcloth over your tongue will do the same thing. This will lubricate your tongue as well. This is a home remedy for people with Thrush, which is a yeast problem in the mouth. Also, eating yogurt works great for preventing the problem of bad bacteria in the mouth.

can you do a video on proper sterilization of our hands? i'm never sure that my hands are completely clean when i'm washing my face or touching it to apply makeup. i wonder if my soap is doing its job or if the towel i dry my hands with contains more bacteria!

Yes the tongue has bacteria but if people don't floss they will have a deep rotting smell. Yes brush your tongue and use mouthwash and use a waterpik.

When I'm done brushing my teeth, I put hydrogen peroxide on my tooth brush. Brush my toung downwards making sure not to swallow it. And spit and rise. It makes you tounge all foamy but it works

I used to have such bad breath even with scraping my tongue, flossing, and using listerine twice a day. Then I googled and found a mouth wash called Smart Mouth. It zapped my bad breath right away and no morning breath either! go BUY IT! It's available at Walmart

I use a tongue scraper every time I brush my teeth--the idea of not using it and leaving all that crap there disgusts me. Some people think using a tongue scraper is soo weird... why would they want to leave all that yuck on there?! Gross people. I'm more concerned about cleaning my tongue than cleaning my teeth.

@2467bri If you have blank CDs, use one as a tongue scraper. It's dull on the sides, so it won't irritate your tastebuds. It actually works pretty well as a tongue scraper. :)

I'm not fully done watching this video so I'm not sure you touch base on the fact that bad breath also comes from the stomach and sinus cavity. Let's say you have a sinus infection...that will cause bad breath also. Doctors actually use that as a sign of a sinus infection. (I'm an RN and learned this is my A&P classes) :)
