  • Way Way Better than the original !!!

  • X-CELLENT !!

  • hey, do you think that the Taylor 114e is better than the Taylor 110e?

I'm planning on buying and I really don't know which one to pick.

  • Nice =)

  • amazing

  • Amazing my friend!

  • godlike :D ! nice, man!

  • Superb.........great voice, really good arrangement.......yes, really really nice.

  • One of the best takes I've heard on this song. Excellent job man!

  • Good job bro =).

  • would you think the 114-ce is better than this 114-e?

  • @misterbearmagicman - The only difference would be the fact that there's a cut-away to give you access to the higher frets. I personally wanted a guitar with a little bit more "body" in the tone so I opted for the full body. Generally speaking, since they are both made from the same side and top woods and they have the same pickup systems it really boils down to your preference. Let me know what you end up getting!

  • DAMN, ok I think I actually prefer this to the original.

  • Hello! You have very good feeling! I have this configuration too (Tylor 114 and loop Boss...), but I have not Your musicalness! :-)

Keep it up! I am Your fan.

  • Love your voice, bro!

  • that's so cool man! thumbs up!

  • sounds awesome. what kind of pre amp did you match the ksm with??

  • hey Chips! Sorry for the late response. I just used the pre's that were on the Behringer (Xenyx). I used 2 different compression plug ins on the vocals to warm it up

  • @mlongid How are you liking that tayor 114

  • @CarsonsGuitarLesson Lovin it! It's not the greatest acoustically, but it sounds pretty good plugged in. The ES-T pickup system is awesome if you do percussive stuff on the guitar body. The best $750 I've spent !

  • nice job!!!

  • Thanks to everyone that have posted comments! If you have any suggestions of tunes that you'd like to hear let me know!

  • Its kinda hard to find a voice that sounds great with that mic...you did really good with it though...Id like to hear an AT4047 with that voice.

  • You know I've never had the opportunity to use that mic. What do you like about it? Thanks for the kind words!

  • wow!!!great version!!!nice voice!i wish i can meet you in person someday!keep it up man!!!hope 2 see more songs...

    -hi to uncle Norman! :)

  • I'm not a big fan of this song. but I'm most definitely a fan of yours man. this is awesome.

i wish i wasn't limited on the amount of stars i can give you.

    5 will have to do.

  • funny but i used to play with a guy on a band, he used to sing and play second guitar, he was very good, after they kicked him from 5 bands he got one of those loopers and started to play by his own and now he is making 300 bucks a 2 hour gigs on saturdays.

  • you're good man.good voice and a good guitar..respect

  • Veramente Bravo..!!!

  • JUST PHENOMENAL!!!! Why are you not selling records and given concerts!!!! I will be at all your gigs and will have all your CDS and DVDS!!!!

I love the Taylor, actually I am thinking of buying one... well actually after listening to you... I will buy one!!!!

    Cheers!!!

  • Thank you jazzul! All I need is a few thousand more people like you and I'll be set! Let me know what you think of the Taylor if you get it. It's certainly one of the cheaper models, but perfect for the percussive stuff I do when I loop!

  • completly kicks ass, i mean wow. very very nice work

    thanks

  • yo! thanks!

  • Man! You are talented.. big time.

  • Great stuff, man! Nice reinterpretation of the song using a guitar. The vocals were great too. The backing vocals sounded a little off to me at times, but you still have a great tone to your voice.

All in all, sounds very professional!

  • Great...REPECT

  • really really good

  • Marlon, it's time you show everyone more songs.....covers and some originals like "In your eyes" and "The Divide".

  • on my opinion that's better than the original version... keep it up, greetings from germany

  • did you recorden the song and in the video your making PLAYBACK ????

or you are singing live.or guitar and vocals are playback RECORDED BY YOU

  • Hi liquid. I recorded everything live using a loop station. My guitar and mic were plugged into a mixer and then mixed into my loop station. The output of the loop station went into my MBox. The video was recorded and synced to the audio. Hope this clears this up for you!

  • oh euh question for you:

You used an KSM32 to recording this song.

With how kind of machine or ampli did you powered your mic. I mean it is a phamtom power or double phamtom power.

I'm sorry my english is not so perfect after all, but if you can understand what i mean, and answer, it will be very cool.

    Thanks.

  • Hey GJ!

Thanks for the props man! I'm glad you enjoy the music. I promise I'll get more stuff up soon!

Anyway, I plugged the guitar and microphone into a mixer (which provided phantom power for the KSM 32) and then went into the Loop Station's mic and instrument inputs with guitar cables.

  • It's real pleasure to come there everyday just to earing you singing, cause you're really good dude. I'm serious! Keep like that;)

  • hey awesome dude! sounds great!

  • Is your Boss RC20XL connected directly to the mic preamp of your Mbox?

  • Yup, it's connected to the mic pre via a direct box. In my opinion the mic pres on the older MBox's seem to sound different than the newer ones. I think they're warmer sounding, but then again it might just be me.

  • nice work man!!

  • Hey it's Vicky!!! Your so awesome!!This is like my only way of seeing you sing...cant go out cuz of kids...

  • that was fantastic!!

  • Wow i have to admit this is my Favorite cover so far..you Done a really Great job!!

Nice Vocals and great sound overall!!

  • You really hit that high falsetto note well, cheers.

  • what passion!

this is excellent, it showcases a trully professional use of the loop pedal and the compressors

    good luck,

    cya

  • This is 103 kinds of awesome, Marlon. Also: nice Taylor!

  • great=)

  • Maybe lovestoned? Gnarles? your uncle.

  • loving it. amazing vocals.

  • Wow! fantastic! Great VOICE!!!

  • GREAT!

How do you like the KSM 32?

  • Hey, sorry for the super late response. I love the KSM 32! For the price, you really can't beat the performance. The compression settings that I use really make the voice pop but the tone of the mic on its own is great. Let me know if you pick one up!

  • Hey, I picked one up! Love the mic, very warm and natural.

    What preamp are you using?

  • For this recording I used the Presonus TubePre and warmed the vocal up even more in post using dual compressing in Pro Tools (Bomb Factory Comp plus the generic Pro Tools compression). Give it a try!

  • great cover. so you have the tubePre go into pro tools? docent the mbox have pre amps?

  • Thanks for the response! Yes, the MBox has a pretty good mic pre on it but I wanted to give the vocals a warmer tone. I think the combination of the mic, the compression and the Presonus gave it a pretty nice balanced sound.

  • GREAT!

How do you like the KSM 32?

  • you rock! i was doubting wether to buy this shure and i will definately get it

    thank you

  • Hey Shuanbu,

Did you end up picking up this mic? Let me know if you do!

  • Great job. It sounds almost as good as your laid back version of Goodnight Suburbia.

  • Pretty damn good - it's hard to get all that timing with the loop pedal. Nice job!

  • Dang! That's good stuff, Great Cover
