man love the cover real nice tonal qualities and very clean playing and thats a taylor 114e right if so im looking into buying one would u say its worth while ?
@misterbearmagicman - The only difference would be the fact that there's a cut-away to give you access to the higher frets. I personally wanted a guitar with a little bit more "body" in the tone so I opted for the full body. Generally speaking, since they are both made from the same side and top woods and they have the same pickup systems it really boils down to your preference. Let me know what you end up getting!
hey Chips! Sorry for the late response. I just used the pre's that were on the Behringer (Xenyx). I used 2 different compression plug ins on the vocals to warm it up
@CarsonsGuitarLesson Lovin it! It's not the greatest acoustically, but it sounds pretty good plugged in. The ES-T pickup system is awesome if you do percussive stuff on the guitar body. The best $750 I've spent !
funny but i used to play with a guy on a band, he used to sing and play second guitar, he was very good, after they kicked him from 5 bands he got one of those loopers and started to play by his own and now he is making 300 bucks a 2 hour gigs on saturdays.
Thank you jazzul! All I need is a few thousand more people like you and I'll be set! Let me know what you think of the Taylor if you get it. It's certainly one of the cheaper models, but perfect for the percussive stuff I do when I loop!
Great stuff, man! Nice reinterpretation of the song using a guitar. The vocals were great too. The backing vocals sounded a little off to me at times, but you still have a great tone to your voice.
Hi liquid. I recorded everything live using a loop station. My guitar and mic were plugged into a mixer and then mixed into my loop station. The output of the loop station went into my MBox. The video was recorded and synced to the audio. Hope this clears this up for you!
Thanks for the props man! I'm glad you enjoy the music. I promise I'll get more stuff up soon!
Anyway, I plugged the guitar and microphone into a mixer (which provided phantom power for the KSM 32) and then went into the Loop Station's mic and instrument inputs with guitar cables.
Yup, it's connected to the mic pre via a direct box. In my opinion the mic pres on the older MBox's seem to sound different than the newer ones. I think they're warmer sounding, but then again it might just be me.
Hey, sorry for the super late response. I love the KSM 32! For the price, you really can't beat the performance. The compression settings that I use really make the voice pop but the tone of the mic on its own is great. Let me know if you pick one up!

Thanks for the response! Yes, the MBox has a pretty good mic pre on it but I wanted to give the vocals a warmer tone. I think the combination of the mic, the compression and the Presonus gave it a pretty nice balanced sound.

oh euh question for you:
You used an KSM32 to recording this song.
With how kind of machine or ampli did you powered your mic. I mean it is a phamtom power or double phamtom power.
I'm sorry my english is not so perfect after all, but if you can understand what i mean, and answer, it will be very cool.
Thanks.

bchamorro 3 years ago
Hey, sorry for the super late response. I love the KSM 32! For the price, you really can't beat the performance. The compression settings that I use really make the voice pop but the tone of the mic on its own is great. Let me know if you pick one up!
mlongid 3 years ago
Hey, I picked one up! Love the mic, very warm and natural.
What preamp are you using?
bchamorro 3 years ago
For this recording I used the Presonus TubePre and warmed the vocal up even more in post using dual compressing in Pro Tools (Bomb Factory Comp plus the generic Pro Tools compression). Give it a try!
mlongid 3 years ago
great cover. so you have the tubePre go into pro tools? docent the mbox have pre amps?
MusicSucksNow 3 years ago
Thanks for the response! Yes, the MBox has a pretty good mic pre on it but I wanted to give the vocals a warmer tone. I think the combination of the mic, the compression and the Presonus gave it a pretty nice balanced sound.
