@megn94 wassalaam, i know exactly what you mean, i come home from school at around 5 pm too. at my school, they keep a classroom free for half an hour at lunch specifically for anyone who wants to pray. maybe you could ask your school if they could keep something similar, or at least a small, private space for you to pray in as it's very important to your beliefs? i'm sure they'd be ok with it, you'd only need it for maybe 15 mins max?

@megn94 Salah is Obligatory on everyone so if you are unable to make it home or at least to the nearest masjid on time, you can take measures to offer your Salah in school. Try explaining to your head or teacher in charge and ask just for 5-10 mins during break hours only 2 offer your salah, and Insha Allah ask Allah to make it easy for you.

I would like to mention : in the demo of salah I see you and other men wearing T shirts and there is no prayer cap on your head. Its Sunnah to wear a prayer cap and Prophet never prayed without a cap.I live in India and most of the lectures I listen to in masjid they talk about American Muslims pray with out cap and wear T shirts which is not a good attire for prayer..I m sorry if you felt bad.

Well then again those who follow the religion since birth tend to not be very good Muslims at all if they're just Muslim for the sake of it and because they were born into it. People who research Islam and who make the personal choice to embrace Islam appreciate it more in most cases as they value the faith alot more.

You're not too slow if you don't rush and pray properly. Everyone has their own pace and if others want to rush it's their own problem :)

I didn't say every single person who was born into the religion isn't a good example. It's just the cold, hard truth that people who embrace Islam because they want to, as opposed to because it was forced down their throat, tend to take Islam more seriously. when I was younger I would be in a hurry for salat and khoutba because....it was the best time for me to think and let my mind wander. and if you are not careful you think there is nothing wrong with it, mostly when you live in the west and you are used to hearing prayers is good for meditation and clear your mind. lol

since then I have practiced being concentrated in my prayers. when you understand the surahs it helps alot. thinking Allah is right in front of you also helps.
