Actually, any type of machine can be Carried by a squad. The saw is the lightest and thus the most preferred. However, the 240b can be carried by an individual in a squad, he just needs an ammo bearer. And believe it or not, the .50 can be used by infantry if you plan on setting up and not having to displace positions. you would need about a 3-4 man crew for that single weapon. just depends on the fight : )
@Forsaken0u812 you're missing the point, the fact is that noone does. and also when a machine gunner in a fireteam (not squad) carries a 249 they still have an A gunner who carries extra ammo and barrels and it only takes 2 to operate a placed 50. just take it from the former 0311 Marine.
a 249 is really only badass when it's got a short barrel and collapsable buttstock with an ACOG ontop. That way you can actually take it places. He's right, if you can handle the weight a 240 can put more energy on target for the trouble.
I disagree, I fond an ACOG losses it's zero far to easy the more you shoot. I like the M145 sight. It's heavier, but better for longer distances, and certainly more durable. And thermal's are totally useless, but my squad leader had a hard on for them. I had to switch sights every time daylight came on pro-longed missions.
You want to know, VOLUNTEER. Say I'm a SAW Gunner, now where is my weapon! Don't get on the 240, they are just pack mules. With the 249 you can kick in doors, raid homes, and still assist weapon squad from time to time. Go Infantry, go Airborne, and go to Ranger school. Run a lot, and be able to carry 65 lbs. for days. Do all that, and I'll come see you when you return from your first glorius deployment.

He must really like COD4 then, to wear the same thing as the game.
Maybe he'll start playing death match soon and stop shooting at random things. And when he gets enough kills, he'll call an air strike in, and get the highest score in the server.

Yeah you need to be behind the weapon more to absorb the recoil. Also Casper I highly doubt you "buck off hadjis daily." You say it so casually. Yes after you kill a few people you get "numb" to it but that dosen't allow many people to come home and brag about it.
