I like Muse, and I like Twilight. I liked Muse long before I liked Twilight, and I'll like Muse long after. I do find it slightly irritating that Muse have been tarred with the Twilight brush. However, I have enjoyed their music for many years, and see nothing wrong with the band using such a powerful springboard to jump into the hearts of millions of others who might not have heard or given them a chance otherwise. I see nothing wrong with spreading their awesomeness by whatever means possible.

Well, I don't really think Muse need any more fans, so I'm not invested in the idea of broadcasting them all over the planet. Part of the pleasure in listening to your favourite music can be that it has a personal significance and I don't like sharing mine with every Tom, Dick and Harry. Sometimes mass consumption can ruin the delicate quality of genius that draws you in the first place. The wider the audience gets, the blander the music, IMO, it's not Hysteria, is it?

Matt has found his voice with Resistance I think as he has just perfected it to sound so smooth and effortless. In the early work of Muse his voice could sound strained and very whiny, I found a lot of people were put off by that. However now his voice just sounds so good and he is working within his range and has made it sound classy.
