I have read various things; it is a matrilineal society, a matriarchal society...women have all the power, or only the women can own or inherit property...i am interested to find out..I see and have heard they are self sufficient, give chocolate tours of the cocao they make themselves, the arts that also help to support them, they have a special legal status by the country of CR, maybe like Native Americans in the US living on reservations..
