I think the best way to discourage illegal immigration is to continue to publicize how insane the white middle class is in America. No one wants to live with a group of gun-toting, poorly educated religious extremists. So, viva la tea party! Its the best anti-immigration campaign I have ever seen.

@heatherpoco The only way to discourage illegal immigration is to remove the birth right, along with all the welfare they drain from our system. BTW: The tea party was hijacked by Palin & Beck for controlled opposition, just as the programming on other networks keeps the debates framed and polarized leading to wasting votes with straight tickets. The answer isn't citizenship, it's work permits. Make it easier for citizens of other countries to get work permits. The permits would have to be renewed every year and the information of the person updated.

The only way to resolve the immigration issue is to allow all workers, documented, full citizen, on the way to citizenship, to organize in unions. Otherwise, nativists will continue to make it easy for bosses to divide and conquer along the whole phony "legal" and "illegal" worker categories....
