  • There is no form to your method. It's way too random and confusing for a child with your equipment on the surface your cleaning etc. You should really have a better plan for this there is no way I would present that to a child in my class. Dissapointing.

  • At ylen13 teaching kids to be neat and clean so they can be responceible is not manual labor cleaning up after themselves and having responcebilty is apart of life and i agree with emilyelle you are spoiled cause oviously you have no clue what real responceiblity is idiot

  • Use a gloves so the soap doesnt atract germs

  • Thank you for the amazing videos. You do wonderful work. Just a note. Table washing should be taught from left to right, in circular motions clockwise, working from top to bottom for prep in writing : )

  • Washing table is the job of a maid at home and janitor at school. It's not a job of a child.

  • @ylen13 Everyone should be responsible for their own messes. You think everybody has a maid at home? What a world you must live in! Also, a janitor's main job is the repair and maintenance of the building--changing lightbulbs, fixing toilets, windows, etc.--not cleaning up haphazardly strewn toys or desks covered in paint.

  • @EmilyElle Being that you live in Canada I guess it works a bit different. In USA we have something called child manual labor law. At school it is the job of a janitor to clean the school. If teacher ever tells child to clean up you can bet the school will be hearing from lawyer(s) by the end of the day. So yes in USA it is the janitor job to clean desks covered in paint and haphazardly strewn toys.

  • @ylen13 If what you're saying is true, I think I've just pinpointed what's wrong with America.

  • @EmilyElle Kids are in school are for one thing and that is to get education and it's the Janitor job to clean for which they get paid. This is the same be it 1st grade or 12. Student do not clean school that is what janitors are for. I am thankful that I didn't leave in Canada as it sound like kids/students are the one that do all general cleaning in school?

  • @ylen13 Learning to be responsible for their own messes is PART of their education. They are not expected to clean up after others or to do strenuous work, however.

It would take a very spoiled person indeed to claim that others should always be responsible for the messes that they make.

  • @EmilyElle Thankfully that is not how it works in USA. The only time that school can try that is if parent behind them which rarely happens. Otherwise the mess will be cleaned up by the janitor as that is the job title of that person. I feel sorry for kids that live in Canada and have to clean at school.

  • @ylen13 I feel sorry for America.

  • @EmilyElle No need to feel sorry for America. Unlike Canada, Mexico and many other country we do not exploit our children at school. Instead we do the right thing and hire people that get paid to keep school clean. Children should not be exposed to cleaning chemicals as it's not healthy for them.

  • @ylen13 You mean... soap?

  • @EmilyElle Yes even soap can be dangerous. Again it's not job of kids to clean, it's the job of adults that get paid to do it. It's not possible to change the country so you're welcome to have kids do manual labor in your country and we will continue our way in USA.

  • @ylen13 Ah, I see. You don't have kids. And you're spoiled.

  • @EmilyElle What made you think that? For a record i have 2 girls and 1 boy. All of them are in school. If i ever found out that any of my children were made to do manual labor the school would be hearing from my lawyers.

  • It is disappointing to see such an imprecise presentation.

  • It is definitely good that you are showing this. However it is quite different for an adult to do it than to actually have an actual child learning it from scratch. I am looking for people that have video taping teaching children qith montesori for the fisrt time any suggestions where to look?

  • kinda sick that you're using sharks teeth; not sure if you know sharks are an endangered species...

  • @guyrish29 sharks are not a species, they are a superorder.

  • remember this is for 3 year old kids I'm sure they haven't learned to clean with proper things and they use paper towels because there could be +15 or more kids in one class and paper towels are faster and cheaper than having to use hand towels and washing them

  • Comment removed

  • the paper towels are there in some classrooms for the adults convenience which is wrong, why use paper towels when the children could benefit from washing the cloths that have been used to do these activities. As one of my old teachers said, we could say 'Oh look, theres no more cloths, someone's going to have to wash the dirty ones so people can do this acitvity'. This enforces the children to work more as a community.

  • It looks like you are using a magic eraser instead of a real sponge. magic erasers are not totally safe for children to use. In addition, it is better to apply the soap from a bar with a scrub brush that they can scrub with. And why are you using paper towels to dry the table? it is much better for the environment to use cloth towels or washcloths that can be washed and reused.

  • Firsof all the method of applicating the soap to the table should be done with something else other than your hand. Secondly the materials you are using should be placed somewhere else other than on the table you are cleaning in order of use as well. Thirdly you repeat one at a time only i noticed you carry items more than one at a time when you should only carry each item you are using (or disposing of) one at a time
