i found one exactly like this a couple days ago in my house!! i don't know wtf it is either.. it's not a crane fly,i know that for sure. this is more like a cross between a mosquito and a horse fly! look at it's eyes! i sent some pictures of mine into our State Mosquito Control department to see if they know what it is..

It looks like a mosquito to me.. since it's got a stinger and those strange furry legs they have.
Might be a mutation, but not a very successful one. Since youd spot this thing trying to suck you in no time.
