They were lucky to have been down that side-street, looked like a "nice" chilled-out area of the tsunami, just bobbing about in their cars and shit..but at the end it looked like the car was filling up and getting dragged towards a faster-flowing area...I wonder what happened next, they obviously survived or we wouldn't be seeing this, right?

well if you have a warning that a larger then usual wave is about to pull your pants down would you .

a, fu@k the car off and get to high ground or

b, be a chancer and stay in your car thinking that you will be fine not really a risk to me .

i would go for a, if i saw that wave come at me in the rear view mirror i would of been up that building on the left like a rat up a drain pipe

@JabberCT Yes, the driver made it. The guy who was in the van (later seen on the van's roof) also made it. They were interviewed on Japanese TV. I'm not sure where the screaming lady's voice was coming from since there was only one male driver in the car. The clips they showed on Japanese TV didn't have the original audio. I could be wrong but I think this audio is fake. Hmm.

その時点で顔や車のナンバーにはモザイクがかかってました

音声は車がぶつかる音やひとりごとがわずかに入ってました

テレビで流された動画は番組の形のまま

youtubeのどこかに残ってると思います（著作権が危ないか­な）

はじめの方に入ってる女性の声は南三陸町の志津川中学から撮られ­た

ビデオに入ってる声を合成したものですね

この車に乗っていた方は無事に脱出されています

@sironatti　そうなんですか。人の顔や車のナンバープレートにモザイクをかけ­るのはプライバシーの観点からいいとして、音声の合成の意味がよ­くわからないですね。元の音声に何か問題があったのか…でもそれ­ならまだ無音にしてくれた方がよかったです。他の方のビデオの音­声を使うとは。　その点が残念です。

　これは車載のドライブレコーダーの映像でしょうか？タグから察す­るに陸前高田でしょうか？　最初の２～３秒は“冠水”といった感じですが、そこからあっとい­う間に大型トラックすら押し流され全ての車が浮き上がっていく様­子がよくわかります。　津波の破壊力をまざまざと見せつけられる映像ですね。　これだけ急に状況が変わり、成す術がない事態に陥ったら、撮影し­た方を始め車内や建物の中で津波にあった方の恐怖はいかばかりで­あったか……。　恐ろしい映像ですが、これは残しておくべき貴重な資料だと思いま­す。
