You are missing the part of the experiment that matters - the part that Maxwells equations and science can't explain. Place a switch in the circuit and when the weight is just right right, open the switch and the weight will fall. Since there is no voltage present, there can be no current flow. Yet when the weight is just right, it will fall with the flip of a switch. I can explain it and understanding it is the secret to making his flywheel motor run but science can't explain it.

The bar was magnetized by the electromagnets and held it's magnetic field after they where turned off. It is not strange or unusual at all. If you rub one of the poles of a magnet down the length of a steel needle a few times in the same direction you will magnetize the needle too.
What seems to be the case here is that you have made your U shaped rod into a permanent magnet. As you said, if this is left uncharged for a while, it will loose its magnetism and the weight will fall. Nothing strange here.

It seems from the info that Ed wrapped up the rock with cable. Did it turn the non metallic rock into an electro-magnet or orme-magnet?
Atoms are made up of mostly empty space. But space isn't empty it's filled with vibration. I think Orme and Aether is the same stuff.
The more Orme that occupies the empty space in the atoms which make up the stone.. the more the stone will levitate?

Basically, the trap self running magnetic current are doing all the lifting work here. Like Ed said before, if this thing were approach with a compass, you will see the needle of the compass flipping north and south. To Ed, Sound, Light, electricity, space, etc. are made of magnets.

Or perhaps every bit of matter which has a north and south pole is a tuning fork for love itself.
The more vibration you put into a tuning fork, the more it will resonate.
Perhaps everything in the universe is resonating because of that highest vibration of love which gives everything else it's power in the form of EM vibration.
This is science and spirituality at it's best.

@TheRealVerbz yes rou are absolutely right on that! Ed Leedskalnin said "our mind constantly broadcasting steams of magnets north and south", Ed also give an example on his book, "If you look sharply on the back of some person, that person have a tendency to look around, like that person are sensing something :D"
Power of a collective mind can greatly influence how our planet evolve today, but some people who acquired this knowledge are using it for their benefits only.

Are you wearing rubber soled shoes during your experiment?
If so, when you grab the weight, it won't fall.
Take your shoes and socks off and Then touch the weight after you disconnect the battery.
Does the weight fall because You grounded it?

That's probably why Ed put metal in the soles of his shoes!
He didn't want to keep taking his shoes off every time he wanted to ground the stone.
By having metal in the soles, he could do his work and then simply touch the stone with his hand to ground it when it was it place.

Ed said, the path that magnetic current take is the path with less resistance. My body still have great resistance, so it will not flow through my body.
