@Bojack222 It's to grip the records, so not to apply too much pressure on them. Licking you're fingers gives you the ability to have a soft touch when scratching spinning whathaveyou.

you're right man. it is easier to scratch the record and juggle with the crossfader when you have a little wet fingers. However, I don't know if it's used for the knobs. But Mista Sinista is sick man with the turntable. Love it at 5:20 when he juggles the crossfader to a Gang Starr-classic :D
