  • an old saying "Working like a Swiss watch"... god no one does it better than them... no chinese factory can make them as how the hands of a Swiss watch maker do

  • a chinese factory will make these for 275 dollar including postage and packaging :)

  • now the most important question. is it waterproof?

  • Fuck porn, i'm going to jack of to this from now on.

  • @tommymarines1 Um yah, It is MECHANICAL. and very Impressive from that standpoint.

  • @tommymarines1 What the hell do you think? It dates back 3 centuries ago. Whereas Mac wasn't even close to the lifespan of Jaeger. It's a Mechanical WATCH vs an Electronic COMPUTER.

  • @tommymarines1 This is a 300 year old technology. Still disappointed?

  • @tommymarines1 Did you just compare a Watch to a Computer? A series of gears to a electrical machine? That has to be one of the most arrogant things I have ever heard in my entire life. This is why I hate overzealous Apple fanboys. Have to compare Apple to every damn thing in their life, opening their big mouths before they think a microsecond about what they are saying. Again, this a watch, not a damn computer. How you even decided to compare the two is beyond me.

  • @RedFox4824 A watch is a computer. A computer is a machine that processes information in a useful manner; A watch is a computer that processes information- mechanical information, cut into the gears and cams- and outputs useful data for the user- in the watch's case, it tells the time. Remember, the first computers were mechanical in nature. Also, I rate the reaction a 2.2 out of 10. Obvious troll was obvious and you bit hook, line and sinker.

  • 240p... really?

  • it's an escapment wrap in a cage then turning by another cage . so complex

  • sexxy might sexy

  • SWISS MADE

  • Voila un rêve....

  • it is so enjoyable to watch

  • I bet even the creator of the gyrotourbillon cant afford to have one...

  • like the shit out of that

  • i have a jaeger master control geographique in platinum and it is wonderful! beautiful and jaeger is my favorite watch brand.

  • This and the Gyrotourbillon 2 is probably the most important innovation in escapements since the co-axial by dr. George Daniels.

Gutted i will never own one.

  • @v5dan It's not an escapement but it's still totally awesome, I agree.

(Omega e.g. uses a tourbillon (not gyro) in combination with a co-axial escapement to minimize the gravity effects)

  • What a lovely time piece. The machanism looks fragile, and not particularly shock proof. Because of the rotational property of the balance wheel, it looks like the watch would be rather thick. Personally I prefer thin watches- they are more elegant- especially if you're going to spend over $250,000. Drop me a line if you have one of these spare that you want to give away ;)

  • it looks like the balance is in outer space lost in a twirl for all eternity.

    one day

a man can dream a man can dream

  • its one things to think this up. but whats amazing is engineering it.

  • Incredibly beautiful and mysterious

  • Anyone questioning the value of this watch just simply does not get it. A watch like this is a piece of art. I can buy a poster of any piece of art in any museum in the world practically, but it doesn't compare to having the real thing. People who pay for a watch like this appreciate it for the mechanical art that it is. Absolutely outstanding craftsmanship and engineering!

  • I agree about the engineering and beauty as art but the practical use of this engineering is questionable as whether or not tourbillons (gyro., flying, standard, dual, inclined or otherwise) actual have practical application in decreasing variations in rate during daily wear. I agree it's beautiful though.

  • I thought my cousin was out of his damn mind, when he spent $50000 on a watch. If I had the money where instead of a huge crater, it would only make a tiny ding in my account, I would buy this watch in an instant.

Been shopping for a nice Tag Heuer for myself, this Chistmas. In comparision, this watch makes those look like a Casio.

  • Beautiful..

  • LOVE IT.....ITS MOVING SO GENTLY

  • thats awesome !

  • Wow! Fantastic!

  • reminds me of that crazy machine dr. manhattan made on mars in Watchmen

  • master of complication

  • This is a beautiful testament to human ingenuity!

  • next time i have to check in the wal mart... :-))

  • This is not a watch, is a piece of Art!. It looks and moves like a heart.

  • watching these machines, i get the idea of how amazing engineering is. A dedecation to mathematical precission in combination with design and arts.isnt this true creating?

Wether the artist nor the worker has his mind in those two realms, only the engineer has.

  • wat? do you really think that the "worker" doesn't have the ultimate goal in mind? The Engineer doesnt see the polishings made.

"only the engineer has" - this i disagree with 100%.

  • watches are made to tell time but looking snazzy is a bonus! =D

  • That is a watch!! More beautiful than the 2nd one! Whats the market price?

  • That´s what I call craftmanship!

  • that much dough can also buy a ferrari f430 so i mean you can either look really rich or go really fast and look really rich.

  • the worth "or" doesnt really exist for ppl that buy these kinds of watches. they buy this watch "and" 6 others in same price class a year(with exception of now, since crises hit, they only buy for about half a million(i have this from good sources.))

So ferraris' etc, they already have, if they want them that is.

  • Sexy.

  • tourbillon is only usefull in pocket watches. aside off the good looks, I have never seen the utility of it in a wrist watch.

  • Ok, so I misspelled a few words.

  • Hypnotically brilliant

  • menuda maravilla es precioso

  • I think this is the most advance watch ever made.

  • In reality, the technololy behind this watch is over a hundred years old. The tourbillon was inveted about 200 years ago. The only difference with this one is that its a "gyro", turns all over with no real purpose. One it was first invented tourbillon countered the effects of gravity. Today this could be acheived with out such intellectual overkill. In fact, Seiko makes a mechanical watch with no escapment! Now thats an advance watch.

  • I don't want printed circuitry in my mechanical watch. Mechanical watches are about using mechanics to count out time. If I wanted accuracy I would just use my cell phone. There is no romance in the Seiko movement and it's no where near as sophisticated as other means of time keeping. It's a dull middle child.

  • I understand what you say about PCB in watches and agree with you. Seiko's "spring drive" watch is the worlds only mechanical watch with quartz timekeeping accuracy. So, you have the best of both worlds.

  • And it's coming out in the Reverso. Watch this space.

  • Damn... just plain ole DAMN! (okay I'll throw in a "fuck damn" too). I always wanted to see how a Tourby move! Fuck... DAAAAAMN!

  • Was für eine wunderschöne Uhr! Wie ein schlagendes Herz, ich bin begeistert!

Nur leider verständlicherweise zum Preis eines Einfamilienhauses!

  • THAT IS A REALLY NICE WATCH!!! except....PRICE!, I would probaly get a Lamborghini instead. or a Ferrrari and buy a Rolex!!!

  • If you had to chose between the lamborghini and this watch, you most definitely wouldn't afford either.

  • my parents can afford a lamborghini, but they don't think a watch is worth it... sure they dont have over $1 million a year, but making slightly under is still pretty dam good

  • Like a beating Heart inside a watch

  • very nice..

  • that looks like the time machine

  • A Masterpiece! But does not the Gyro turning of the Tourbillion take a lot of Energy??

  • Beautifull, it's worth saying that this watch can become a real heritage in a family.

  • not bad but i think the franck muller's tri-axial tourbillon in better

  • My ass, I dunno about performance but it looks like a wet dog compared to the Gyrotourbillon

  • beautiful

  • sicher eine der krönungen menschlicher schaffenskunst

  • ♥ ♥ ♥ Israel is a pain in the áss

  • great for people with small penis.

  • Behold the words of the wise who is without a disposable income.

  • What?! LOL

  • oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...

  • It is more than a watch, a quartz is just a watch, this is a masterpiece.

  • it is worth every penny

  • Simply stunning, however with a $316,844 USD price tag.....

  • Get some books about watch making, then some books about the specifics of Tourbillon, and then you'll understand why a complication like this would cost so much.

Don't get me wrong, i wouldn't buy a $300,000 watch myself, maybe if i was a billionair, but for a watch it's just too expensive, you could always make one yourself, after years of learning, and years after that spent on actually making the damn thing.

  • Ils ont bien fait ça les bonommets...

    Merci Jaeger, pour ce joli.

  • amazing! i want one ='(

  • Just incredible. I sure wish I could afford its $310 000 price.

  • I think I'm in love

  • test

  • Vaya burrada de reloj !! Me apasionan estos bichos !!

  • its the most beautiful piece of mechanical complication the world has ever known. what a marvel. gotta buy one. maybe 2

  • That is one of the most amazing watches I've ever seen, I could watch it all day

  • Perfect!

  • Oh god it's so pretty
