No, instead of going on about a loss of love, they're trying to give the song a completely different meaning than what it originally was. You know, the whole loss of innocence from when you were a kid to growing up in this world and all. For most of us in our mid 20s, these games represent our innocent youth, and how they're being played and who is represented as the bad guys or goals in the games is our loss of innocence, hence, never gonna dance again.
