This song reminds me of a song by a band called "Orange Juice - Rip It Up". Edwyn Collins who did the fantastic "never met a girl like you did it". The question is, did this song inspire them or did it inspire Talking Heads?

Either way both are cracking tunes and I love this somewhat raw cover.

What I love about this video, is it shows the possibility of youth. That everyone famous came from somewhere. And that at that age, we didn't know what we were going to be or how we were going to turn out. We were just along for the ride, having fun as best as we could.

What complete and total shit... how does this have more hits than the original and actually talented Talking Heads? Shows how misguided the youth has become by the commercialism of MTV. The T heads cut their teeth in a world without MTV, you know when music mattered more than style, and yet Byrne was a visual artist that painted MTV in a much better light than MTV deserved. The Talking Heads showed the promise of MTV which never came to fruition thanks to the marking swine of the world.

Out of all the "MTV pop" groups MGMT is definitely one of the best, they're extremely talented and deserve the recognition they get. I like MGMT. It's good to see that there's bands out there now that have an appreciation for good music (Talking Heads), however I too am disappointed that this version has more views than the original. They aren't even playing anything except for guitar and looping the original song, and no, they don't even know the lyrics. I highly advise you all to check out the original Talking Heads version.
