  • The hell is that breadboard in the back? home-made preamp? looks super cool.. lol

  • What good is this video?? You don't tell us what the hell your doing or using. Utterly worthless.

  • @mpaz48mo

I have to explain what the title already states?... Do the pictures not seem utterly obvious what I'm doing? This is not even a step-by-step tutorial for people to follow in the first place. It's photos for people to be inspired and/or get familiar with guitar building. Actual steps can be researched on their time when they feel ready.

  • song?

  • I'm about to redo my Strat this weekend, I'm gonna paint it red.

  • thats too bad you took apart that black one it looked pretty cool as is

  • @nogodgiveslemons

The finish on it was pretty rough, the owner wanted it redone.

  • I started refinishing my RG760 that I bought brand new in 1990 and then I realized I was wasting my time on a piece of crap.

  • @shaindaman13

I turned my piece of crap into something useful.

  • @shaindaman13 RG760? a piece of crap? send it to a luthier and then buy some nice pickups and you will have an awesome guitar man

  • i was trying to remove paint with sandpaper XD

  • i think he just painted a red guitar black.

  • Not a big fan of sandpaper. I find we lose contours when using sandpaper let alone power equipment. I strictly use remover, rubber gloves a scraper, and steel wool. It keeps the integrity of the machined contours. Matter of fact I just had a Gibson Les Paul come into my shop. I almost refused it but I needed a before and after pic of what i do so i did it. Was a teenager with his dad's power sander the binding was rounded. I replaced the maple cap and glued in new binding.

  • they were polyurethane finishes right? because a heatgun would've been the right choise to go with. you could've peeled the finish right off the body! :D

  • @tohtorigyro

Yeah I know, but I didn't want to waste the butane in my heat gun :/

    :)

  • I still dont know how to remove the laquer.

  • Have you tried a heat gun or propane?

  • i really liked that blue RG you did. i'm really excited that you're posting another guitar project :)

  • I have paint "thinner". is that the same thing, or should I definitely not use it to remove finish?

  • @TaffyRaphie

paint thinner is for diluting the paint or cleaning it, but I don't think it's meant for removing varnishes. The paint remover I used is for many types of varnishes and epoxy.

  • @DUY1337GUITAR like the song

  • @DUY1337GUITAR like the song and when will the next video be out?

  • @Xythe43

Next video is gonna be about sealing and priming, but I'm waiting on my friends. I'm already in the middle of painting and adding the designs.

  • @DUY1337GUITAR or you could just sand the stuff off unless its not sandable ....but as its a guitar it is right?

  • @snakev10v5

Sanding would take a very long time and much effort. Using an electric tool to sand it off would make it faster, but that risks in uneven surfaces and other possible complications. I heard using a heat gun to chip the varnish off works very well though.

  • @DUY1337GUITAR and, i have an ESP LTD i am fixing, how do i get the knob off the switch?

  • @Xythe43

the pickup switch? just pull it off

  • @DUY1337GUITAR i think they glues mine on, i tried with pliers also

  • It would be great if you gave the guitars a swirl finish

  • nice! paint thinner did all the work! wished i would of thought of that!

  • nice! paint thinner did all the work! wished i would of thought of that!

  • @Stonyman65
