There were so many people parked illegally in the first part. In my state, it's illegal to park closer than ten metres (about 91 feet, I think) from a corner, but councils can mark parking bays wherever they like. That means people won't get a ticket for parking too close to a corner if it's a marked bay, regardless of how much it obstructs the vision of people trying to drive around the corner. :-/

I once was that "rider in the oncoming lane" in Vietnam: a truck driver decided to just drive on the wrong side of the road on a blind corner, and he wasn't even passing anyone.

So if you're driving a motorbike pretty much anywhere in Asia (except maybe for Japan) be prepared :)

What amazes me is that it's not like they (I mean Vietnamese people) know some secret to being safe while driving like that, they crash and die a lot, but still won't do anything about it :)
