If you haven't heard it yet, there is a Bugera 1990 vs, Marshall JCM900 shootout here on youtube. I bet you ANYTHING you cannot tell the difference between the sound of the 2. This is a serious, kickass head.
Hi tony, would you play some stoner/doom/psychedelic/rock stuff with the bugera ? some stuff like Nebula, Electric Wizard, Earthless, Black Sabbath, Atomic Bitchwax, you know what I mean... or tell me if this is a good amp for this kind of sounds.
hot shit! i was looking at the marshall haze 40 the other day. it sounds good, but I can't deny myself the midrange power and PRICE of the 1990. I love the 2x12 idea, its still easy to load into a car. Can't wait! Not that u are, but don't sweat all the retarded comments. Half of those morons prolly can't play at all. Great 2pt review!
@logan787681 Thats cause its supposed to sound like a 900, wich is basically a heavier 800. Ive tried all three, an 800 thats modded is the best. But I personally think this sounds better stock than both the 900 and the 800 with the exception of the tubes, put some JJ's or something in the Bugera and I can guarantee it will sound better than a stock JCM 900 or 800. Of course that's if your listening to with unbiased ears. And btw, Im a huge fan of both companies, so Im not bashing Marshall.
what are the standard tubes what come with it like ??

is it a copy of the jcm 900 dual reverb or slx? Does it have diode clipping?

Got a pretty nice sound out of the amp!!!
Just wondering if you've had any reliability problems with it yet or not??
Cheers

I reckon the 1990 sounds BETTER than the Marshall JCM 8/900 its modelled on.
