@moartzen Just out of interest, how much do you think he personally had to do with it? Yes, he was the CEO, but he wouldn't be around to observe everything that goes on within the company; BP employs nearly 80,000 people. The CEO is just a figurehead, and it's very unlikely that figures/data came his way which would lead him to realise that an accident was imminent, spotting that kind of thing wasn't even his job. The assault on him was a witch-hunt, society needed someone to blame.
I don't get why everyone is hating on Tony so much.. He didn't drill the hole, he didn't spill the oil, the workers of his company did. Thats like, having ago at a headmaster because a pupil burnt down the school.
Think for yourselves people, it's happened, nothing you can say will change this. Grow up, wanna do something about it? Go help clean it up!
@doza2112 No, but while he owns the company who caused the spill and many others and complains "I want my life back" its a little ridiculous since he is the CEO and that is his job to deal with the situation. Also while he says He wants his life back of mansions, private jets. private chefs, multiple cars, these people on the gulf are trying to figure out how to feed their family since their jobs have been destroyed by BP along with the sea and land they have lived on for generations.
plus that dude is a freaking multi cazillionaire and what life did u lose huh? well we lost our freaking swimming, our fishing and our buisnesses because of u and ur crap, u better be freaking sorry dude. u screwed a lot of people
so what happened to the culf coast? saw so many conspiracies about that when it happened, kinda dont care anymore, so much evill everywhere anyways. is the whole area dead/poisoned or is the ocean moving it all over? gogo cancer!
In all honesty, poor Tony, yes the spill may have occurred due to poor judgement, but we shouldn't barack him just for a slip of the tongue, he's a pencil pusher, not a public speaker. So when all the news people come over to ask him about it, it's obvious that he won't be prepared for it. And it's not as if anyone cared about BP's dealings until this footage was released.
@CountJoe1 He gets paid millions every minute, he should suck it up. Boohoo mister tony is sad because the public doesn't like him? Just tell him to grab his gold outlined silk throw-away tissue. Fuck him, he doesn't deserve our respect. If he cared about the ecosystem he would not be fucking CEO of BP. If he doesn't want to take the brunt of such an incident he shouldn't be CEO of BP. Why do you care about him when he couldn't care less about you (unless you are a big investor in BP)
@philateliceun If we take the ecosystem out of the equation, then what we have is an incredibly lucky man,who is the CEO of an incredibly succesful company,I honestly respect him for being abe to gain such a career. And regardless of how much he is paid,he does deserve every penny its a tough job.But think about it from his perspective, his company has just caused a giant oil spill,he is know under tremendous pressure to rectify the problem,so its obvious that he'd want his life back, wouldnt you?
@CountJoe1 It is just totally disrespectfull for the people who lost their jobs due to the oil spill, you know the people who live off the rescources of the Gulf, they really lost their lifes. If Tony had gotten fired that day he would have been a multi mutli millionaire, how has he lost his life? . And you can take the ecosystem out of the equation but that is like saying well take the cancer out of the equation and Philip Morris is a incredible lucky man.
@philateliceun If they fired Tony then the Gulf would have been in an even bigger shtick than before, and when I say "take the ecosystem out of the equation" I mean by looking at this problem from a purely business orientated point of view, sure Tony may have "had" millions, but he would have lost the bulk of it on repair work and helping those affected by the spill, all I'm saying is that it is not all Tony's fault just because he said he "wants his life back", thinking it is is sheer stupidity.
People are fucking hypocrites. No one likes oil spills, it´s not of this guy´s liking to loose millions of dollars and I believe that people tried to fix it. But what irritates me is that oil is a fucking necessity, and americans are its biggest consumers. You only get bitchy about it when it comes to your shores. No one likes it and no one wishes this kind of disaster, but it is a risk we all must commit to, until we find other energy sources.
You really think this guy gives a crap? All he cares about is money, and if he get's fired he get's a bigger send-off bonus than what we could both earn in 20 years. This public opinion of him is inconvenient to him at most.
If you cared for the ecosystem, you wouldn't be working with, for or leading an oil company. And I'm not talking some engineer who was low on cash and had no choice but to work a job he didn't want to. This guy earns millions.
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH It happens that this spill is not only his fault. But it falls on all of those who depend on oil in our daily lifes. It makes around two thirds of the earth guilty.
So really, all you are after is a public person to blame for your own guilty habbits (oil addiction), that you and most of humanity just won´t loose.
I don't have a car and my house has solar panels. I by all plastics in a green shop. If I use even 10 liters of oil a year, I'd be surprised.
No I blame people for being so stupid and continuing to be so after this incident, which is not at all an exception, let alone the only down-side on oil. An entire eco-system destroyed because people think it will not affect them, enablers.
I'm mad at this guy because he is the guy in charge, the guy making millions of destroyed life.
i think the pussy needs to quit whining, i think its quite funny. id like my life back to0 and all of the fishermen and familes of the ones that were killed would like there damn live's back to asshole. Prick!
ok, bp messed up. big time. but this could have happened to any other oil company. and do you think all the people protesting against bp would stop using fuel? mankind is so dependable on oil, and continues to waste it in so many ways, that big companies have to (and want to) drill in such extreme ways. i think everybody who is using fuel (including me) is responsible for this catastrophe.
Ya know I hate BP as much as the next guy, but did it ever occur to anyone with that whole "I'd like my life back" flap that maybe Tony Hayward wasn't trying to be an A-hole but was rather trying to reassure those affected by pointing out that he had a personal interest in cleaning up the mess?
With a profit of 4 billion $ every 3 months, If I was king, you mthr fckr's would be broke making it right. PS the music in this propaganda film sux asshole.
It's easy to hate on BP and Tony Hayward but how much is Transocean and others involved in the drilling / exploration stumping up?, Because there CEO's seem to be very quiet.
The dispersant should only be used after we have cleaned up as much oil as seemingly possible. That dispersant should be specifically made for this situation and subjected to rigorous testing with 3x the requirements to be approved.
You don't get your life back fucker! Look at him running like a coward. You can run but you can't hide. The pressure and blame isn't going to magically shift onto the new ceo. People from around the world will send you hate mail. If you don't commit suicide someone is gonna come and kill you.
he just wants his life back. Can you blame the guy? BP should let him go so he can have his life back... but without the $18 million or so they're giving him to leave.
@genxAndy7 Those motherfuckers! Where's my compensation? I will never be able to see the clean pristine gulf in my entire lifetime! Why the fuck are they sinking the oil! It is less harmful and easier to clean on the top. If the oil wasn't altered with corexit it would washup nicely on beaches and it would get stuck outside of the marshes rather than penetrating into them. Mothernature is surprising good at protecting herself until retarded people fuck it all up with synthetics. KILL TONY!
Fuck you, sheepfucker. Talk any more shit and America will seize your stupid pensions right out from under your lazy old asses. We need it more than you anyway, America can't even be bothered to take care of our poor, sick, and hungry.
No, Tony. You have to die for this. Oil isn't worth what your incompetence has allowed to transpire throughout the Gulf of Mexico. While it's not the first time this has happened it needs to be the last. All of these crooked crack pot politicians need to realize that one no matter how much money they have or how many cops they pay off there's no saving you from a rifle slug through the skull. Then no one will help you. Someone has to make an example of Tony Hayward.. For this world.
@Xirestone Thank you BP for stopping the spill created by US companies. It good we have companies like BP that can fix a problem caused in the US by US companies. Pity we have to pay out becuse the US companies cant afford to clear up there own mess
@bskilla101 exactly the way I feel about it. The rig owners were (Not BP) more to blame for the disaster. Sure, excessive money-grubbing comes into all companies so I guess the maximum they can blame BP is actually to blame them 50% and Transocean 50% at the same time.
By the way, to all those BP haters, BP was Britain's #1 Company and the disaster will have comparatively little effect on its status. Going bust is completely out of the question, LOL.
@bskilla101 and all you're gonna do is talk shit on youtube like the little bitch you are, and watch your mom get dressed until your balls drop.. oh right you don't have none. Wanna do some, billy jack ethug piece of shit? Come love me up, bitch I'll kill you deader than hell ya dumb motherfucker.
@Xirestone HAHA is that the best you can do just another big fat Yank kid with no argument allow me to respond in kind. How will you get your fat ass around without oil electric cars won't pull your heavy ass around? How will you feed your fat face with no packaging made from plastics? How will you get your fat ass on a plane...ok you are too fat for planes...but you can't live without oil, you need it. You won't make any examples you are too busy playing WoW stuffing your fat face
@bskilla101 Fat huh? So some bloody brit is supposed to know what recreational exercise is when he's not having tea n crumpets while his big shot dad fucks him up the ass? By the way, I'm very impressed you even have an IQ high enough to look at my channel just to see information I put there from about 5 years ago. I'm very impressed yet again that you seem to know so much about me but all bullshit aside it's very painful to see such comments from someone who likes The Annoying Orange...
@Xirestone I guess updating your profile would be to hard in "5 years" as you joined in 2007 dumb dumb, dont want you to break a sweat doing it now. "The Annoying Orange" WTF are you talking about? You seem to like ass fucking...Any deeper in the closet and you will be in Narnia. If you had "tea n crumpets" in the US you would ask "do you want fries with that" So you got any input on the gulf spill that the US companies caused? Or are you going to tell the US how to live without oil??
@Xirestone So what do you do, Euro-Hero? Did you know that Queen Elizabeth hid Excalibur up her ass, and since then it was used as like an Anal Crown?
@Xirestone How did she hide a sword up her ass, and why? This sounds like a story you could make millions on. I shall alert all media outlets for the story of 2010.
@Xirestone you cant keep pointing fingers at tony hayward. yes he was CEO of BP and yes he has taken responsibility for the oil disaster. but all of BP deserves a grilling, but while his other shareholders get off free he gets all blame and a grilling from you intolerant, ignorant yanks who love to treat everyone else as less than human. trans-ocean deserves just as much of the blame as they were the people who owned the rig in the first place.
@darkshredder95 same goes for us americans but people like BP, yes Trans-ocean, and typically everyone who drills for a resource at the risk and expense of the earth are really careless. They still manage to give us a bad name around the globe no matter what the few of us to do try, and make up for it. It's an ultimatum people want, not an apology.
How about the eleven workers that were killed at the initial explosion that would like their lives back dumbass? You know what I would like I would like for YOU to clean up the mess that YOUR recklessness and corner cutting caused, then I want youu to lose your job !!!!!! YOUR LOUSY AND YOUR EXISTENCE IS TRULY A WASTE!!!!!!!
I'D LIKE MY FRIEND JEFF THE DOLPHIN BACK, HE WAS MORE SELF AWARE AND GENTLE AND LOVING THAN ANY HUMAN BEING, AND NOT IN A SEXUAL WAY BUT LIKE A TRUE FRIEND. HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO USE MY MIND AND COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER SENTIENT BEINGS. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL THING. I DIDN'T BELIEVE IN GOD UNTIL I MET DOLPHINS. GOD BLESS THEM AND DAMN THIS MOTHERFUCKER TO HELL. YOU PIECE OF SHIT, FUCK YOUR LIFE AND YOUR COMPANY! BP STANDS FOR THE BLACK POWDER PUSHING LEAD INTAYA NECK YA SELFISH BITCH ASSHOLE!
@hommedespoir Are we successfully pushing them back ? They have the military and the money. As your channel name says; I fear we have no hope.We are mere cattle. Pray for us.
BP stands for Broken Promises... you killed 11 innocent men, now your killing the ecosystem the wildlife and everyones future... The LIES are as thick as YOUR OIL
@masterkemp hahaha i love this. americans getting some of their own medicine. its great. The chairman of BP went on holiday when all this was going on. Why are people having a go at Hayward for all of this? He's just the CEO. Also, BP is actually technically American owned now, it just has its headquarters in London. So would all you americans just shut up and stop moaning. Im sure the people of Iraq want their life back as well
@doza2112 who cares if he was on holiday that doesnt mean everything hes done in the past falls on someone else, and no one gives a shit which country owns BP.
@doza2112 I don't know what country you're from, but unless you're from Perfectlandia, do you really want to start the whole "oh look what your country did" game?
@doza2112 ha, I guess i have to agree with you America is a fat load of hypocrites and ignorant fucks, I'm American born but I don't identify as American because most americans are fucking ignorant and can't see past their own bloated spoiled imperialist fog, but we still shouldn't justify greedy oil companies overly risky endevors which destroy our environment.
@masterkemp its not his fualt that the workers had an error. it was a really bad accident. Yes it was BP company that started it. but you cant call him a lying prick and say he "killed the ocean" because honestly there has been even bigger oil spills that have been on U.S hands before. Before you reply saying somthing like i support BP or somthig... let me just tell you, there british and t heir ignorant as is.
@joe1234567890i of course it wouldnt make any sense to half the fucking population on this retard infested website!!! Im not for BP but you cannot be simply little fucking idiots and assholes about it and point fingers. its not going to fucking change it. Instead of every one fucking whineing about it they should go fucking do somthing. This shit has happend in the past and the fucking idiots that follow this have no idea what is going on and they just repeat what they listen to on the news...
Tony - I want my life back too. I want my clean white beach! I want my grandchildren to play in the Gulf! I want the shore birds landing outside my kitchen window! I want my house value back! I want my retirement back! I want to fish and eat fresh seafood! I want the fresh sea smell back! I want to wake up every morning and my first thought to be "I love my life". I worked hard to achieve a seaside retirement home. I WANT IT BACK!!! I can't leave and forget it! I live here!
Bhopal, India US industrial disaster. * Total deaths to date: over 15,000 * Number affected: Nearly 600,000 * Compensation: Union Carbide pays $470m in 1989 - 1/2 BIllion USD meanwhile BP is being shaken down for 20B. Perhaps another 60 Billion more. Union Carbide is now owned by Dow. Shouldn't DOW do the right thing and setup a trust fund for generations of Indians poisoned by their incompetence? I know how Americans are fans of "justice" and will support this.
Fishing boats rounding up dead and still alive sea life and burning it alive because of monumental irresponsibility. Whatever life you could possibly get back I would not want to have. Your life is better off dead. Do you really want it back. You greedy fuck never had a life in the first place.
Hmm...I think I can scramble up a shit ton of people and animals that want it to be over more then he does and would enjoy having their lives back! Honestly,I heard he made this comment and I raged. what a stupid and selfish thing to say.
BP is prepared to pay out but if you keep talking like the company deserves to go to ruin then nobody gets any money and all lose.
Obama is just scoring political points for himself and putting american jobs and investors at risk because everytime he opens his fat mouth BP share prices plunge which is no good for Americans which has a near 50% stake in the company. And not just rich americans but ordinary working class americans who have their pension savings linked on the success of BP.
This accident was caused by Travocean. This is an American drilling company with American workers, following American procedures laid down for work in the Gulf. BP are merely tidying up the mess caused by these unreliable American sub contractors. How is it then that BP are labelled as the bad guys. In addition, the well was partly owned by an American oil company and yet we hardly here their name mentioned in the press.
Going to drive a point here. I've already slammed bp enough. Though by avoiding Bp stations your putting Americans who are part of the franchise out of work. You should all realize how bad it would affect the debtors if BP went bankrupt. Another wards if you filed suit against bp for damages after they filed for bankruptcy you'd be unable to collect any monetary damages. If you think gas stations make and ass load on gas your wrong. Legally they can only make 4 cents per gallon profit.
All those people who are out of work because of bp will get further screwed if they go bankrupt. It's the last thing you guys should be hoping for. What I am trying to say is the nation will get shafted if bp goes bankrupt. We will be the ones paying for their negligence.
Yes, Mr. Hayward IS just a face and just him taking the fall for this isn't enough.
BOTH our political parties are ALSO to blame for all of this mess....DON'T FORGET THAT!
The de-regulations, the greed for political power, the tie-ins to other men and factions of power, made a lot of them lose their conscience...and now we will ALL suffer for it.
Mr.Hayward is just the face of greed, and it is RAMPANT!
Unfortunately this company is unique in the world. The staff are extremely competent and hard working. The big bosses on the other hand above Managing Director level are arrogant and selfish. They are terrible people. The small people like Executive Directors, Senior Managers and lower are of course decent people. It is just this small elite that are bad. In a building fire drill in BP, the CEOs helicoper must leave before any other person is allowed to leave the builiding.
This dude should never get his life back. He should be in prison. I say we lock up in that prison we hold terrorists, because what his company did is far worse than any terrorist act
@BlackMetalSkinhead Exactly. I live in South Florida. There is oil all over the beaches in Destin, FL it is just a matter of time before its down here, by Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Just waiting for a hurricane. Then what?? BP needs to fire that stupid CEO!! AND-anyone else who did not follow safety procedures ahead of time!!
There has been a major accident in the Gulf of Mexico. Its effects are likely to be devastating. Its not in anyone's interests (BP included) to allow such an accident to happen but there is no such thing as a foolproof safety system.
Why don't you stop the flow of hysterical conclusions and wait for the results of the inquiry. I really think your blood-lust for a scapegoat is getting in the way of your objectivity and fairness.
Now we and everyone else is pressuring BP to stop the leak. We are hurrying them up. Be carefull thats the same reason why the tragedy happened. We don't want another type of tragedy cause you all know how sloppy they are. lol
@almatykaz82 Yup. You know what it feels like being bugged by someone, much less the whole media and the whole world practically, including the government of the united states. The news makes you famous for all the negative things they can throw at you. That is enough to make a weak person commit suicide.
have they tried putting a condescending hypocritical gobby americans mouth on it?
the most polluting nation on earth, happy to invade or coerce others into its pocket vilifying a company that provides them with their fuel is beyond irony.

british123able 1 year ago
Ya know I hate BP as much as the next guy, but did it ever occur to anyone with that whole "I'd like my life back" flap that maybe Tony Hayward wasn't trying to be an A-hole but was rather trying to reassure those affected by pointing out that he had a personal interest in cleaning up the mess?

The dispersant should only be used after we have cleaned up as much oil as seemingly possible. That dispersant should be specifically made for this situation and subjected to rigorous testing with 3x the requirements to be approved.

KILL TONY!

Xirestone 1 year ago
@Xirestone Thank you BP for stopping the spill created by US companies. It good we have companies like BP that can fix a problem caused in the US by US companies. Pity we have to pay out becuse the US companies cant afford to clear up there own mess
bskilla101 1 year ago
@bskilla101 exactly the way I feel about it. The rig owners were (Not BP) more to blame for the disaster. Sure, excessive money-grubbing comes into all companies so I guess the maximum they can blame BP is actually to blame them 50% and Transocean 50% at the same time.
By the way, to all those BP haters, BP was Britain's #1 Company and the disaster will have comparatively little effect on its status. Going bust is completely out of the question, LOL.

@Xirestone you cant keep pointing fingers at tony hayward. yes he was CEO of BP and yes he has taken responsibility for the oil disaster. but all of BP deserves a grilling, but while his other shareholders get off free he gets all blame and a grilling from you intolerant, ignorant yanks who love to treat everyone else as less than human. trans-ocean deserves just as much of the blame as they were the people who owned the rig in the first place.
and btw not all us Brits and money hungry pricks.
darkshredder95 1 year ago
@darkshredder95 same goes for us americans but people like BP, yes Trans-ocean, and typically everyone who drills for a resource at the risk and expense of the earth are really careless.

In addition, the well was partly owned by an American oil company and yet we hardly here their name mentioned in the press.
splotsplot 1 year ago
Going to drive a point here. I've already slammed bp enough. Though by avoiding Bp stations your putting Americans who are part of the franchise out of work. You should all realize how bad it would affect the debtors if BP went bankrupt. Another wards if you filed suit against bp for damages after they filed for bankruptcy you'd be unable to collect any monetary damages. If you think gas stations make and ass load on gas your wrong. Legally they can only make 4 cents per gallon profit.
Flavorfulydisturbing 1 year ago

@BlackMetalSkinhead Exactly. I live in South Florida. There is oil all over the beaches in Destin, FL it is just a matter of time before its down here, by Fort Lauderdale and Miami. sweetheart5703 1 year ago
