  • The more you shoot out of that barrel the hotter it gets. This then changes the ballistics from your first three shots which was done with a cooler barrel. I too have a 30 inch fluted stainless steel barrel 300 Wby mag and using a 165 gr Nosler ballistic tip and you might not believe this but it has been chronograph to 3600 after 3 shots your guessing as to where to aim because of the ballistic change. A two pound trigger really comes in handy here. Real nice shooting bud.

  • Can you get custom made barrels for the 7mm RUM or 300 RUM??

  • That's awesome, 4 seconds travel time for the sound of the impact on target to return. Good shooting! Especially considering that even for the 300 rum this is practically artillery range.

  • 2 people don't hunt

  • Awesome shooting Mate. I'm thinking of getting one and putting it in a Tube Gun kit.

  • I've been thinking about getting a 300 RUM and just wanted to know how much the one in this video cost

  • share some that load data on them 208 amax

  • kenny?

  • is the 300r ultra magnum the most powerfull 7mm rifle? tanks

  • @losteden

The 300 mag isnt a 7mm. Different calibers

  • @nagrone87 300 remington ultra magnum is a 7.62 mm

  • What camera did you use to film this with? Looks like digital zoom but at that distance its not too bad.

  • we use 185 gr. outa our .300 ultra mag bench gun

  • Are you using a Night Force scope?

  • No a Leupold 8.5-25 TMR

  • im looking at going with a remmington ultra mag which one would u reccomend? ive hear .308(300) is acctually underbore for this cartridge and the cartridge capacity is acctually more suitable for the .338 or .375 diameter bullet. thanks alot, different opinions are always great!

  • this week tried out the 240 gr sierra mk 7in. @1400 yds im liking them

  • Nice shooting and camera work too. You can see the blur of the round on its way up for most of these shots if you look carefully (2:17 for eg) =).

  • Du hast doch ne "macke" ( crazy and so on )

  • Very nice. have you ever tryed a Serria 175 match hp with 96g of powder?

  • 175 is too small at that range i use 210 or 220 sierra mk with 101.5 gr of retumbo

  • those hornadys suk ass

  • Great shooting. Even though you missed more, they were close enough together to kill something. I would want you on my side. BTW. What do you know about a .270win? What is the drop at that range with 150 gr bullet

  • i know a bit. like i shoot a 5inch gruping at 350 yds 140 grain bullet. but i prefer the mosin nagant with a s&w 357 and my benelie supernova.. sho what do u prefer?

  • My .270 win Marlin XL7, Barreta M9, and my tactical Rem 870 12 gauge with a 20 inch barrel.

  • that would depend on your barrel length, rate of twist, bullet design, altitude. at that distance humidity, and temperature can affect you as well. you are just going to have to experiment. move farther and father back until you reach that far.

  • hahah a 6 second delay lol

  • Pretty impresive especially with the haze going on man nice shootin Tex

  • HOLY DELAY BATMAN

  • Awesome shooting! I am soon getting a Remington 700 SF II chambered in .300 RUM, and I do plan on running Hornady 208 grain A-max's out of her. You said you could get yours up to 3300 ft/s? Sounds a bit hot, I'm guessing your barrel is longer than 26" right? Let me know what rifle you are using when you find the time.

    Braxton

  • It is a 30" Krieger barrel

  • @SniperAce016 I dont see anything for an ultra mag that will do 3300fps....maybe a 150 RIGHT out of the barrel but that's about it

  • @dawhiteguy622 You have to be kidding me..... I am running 150 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips out of my Sendero pipe at 3700 ft/s using a stiff charge of RE-19. I definitely DO NOT recommend pushing them that fast, but it is possible, I know people that pushed them at 3900 ft/s, scary shit, but it can be done out of the 26" Sendero barrel. 3300 ft/s with a 208 grain pill is no prob when using a 30" barrel.

  • @SniperAce016 That is a little hot. With my 300 wby mag I use 85 gr reloader 25 with no pressure and have reused the brass probably over ten times. Very little showing on the primer as well. 3600 fps with a 30 in fluted accuracy barrel and good for 1000 yds with a 6 to 24 scope dual cross hairs.

  • @SniperAce016 Hi Sniper Ace, You might want to try Reloader 25 with your long barrel you'll get the speed without the pressure. I was using 85 gr of Hodgdon powder and I got too much pressure even though I got 3600 fps. I switch to Reloader 25 with 85 gr and no press, no little craters on the primes. Its a winner. The rifle I use is a 300 wby mag, 30 inch stainless steel fluted barrel and a 6 to 24 power scope oh and a 2 lb trigger comes in handy here. No creep and back lash.Try the reloader25

  • was up to 3300 but best groups are at 3200

  • Outstanding shooting! Even most the misses were still going to hit a good sized game animal. What kind of velocity are you pushing those 208 grain AMAX's through that rifle with?
