It's been so long. Did I say the stock Zune buds were bad? Well, they're not Triple.Fi 10's, but they have replaced my running buds, the Sennheiser MX500's. They're definitely better than the ibuds.

These things dropped in price and I got in on the Amazon 16GB + HDAV Dock for $190.

Now that I'm only using it as a dedicated DAP (mostly audio), I can finally see how fantastic the Zune Pass + Zune experience is. Highly recommended for music fans.

Smartplaylists on the device are a runner's dream and audiosurf's perfect for super stimulus mode. :D

Apple makes nicely designed products i agree, but apple is too arrogant. They think there status can give them a reason to overcharge for what your paying for and get away with it. I have an itouch, its nice but after a while its annoyingly simple UI and design eventually makes you want to smash it. There is simply nothing in the itouch that sets it apart from the rest of the competition. Microsoft is smart, and is giving you premium quality at a fashionably low price.

It's an unboxing, not a review. And yes, one look is all I need w/ those headphones to know they will suck. Headdirect have a pair of RE0's for $80, and Amazon had the Ety ER6i's for $50 this weekend. Both of those will easily outperform any bundled headphones by a considerable margin.

Well, I went with a touch for the browsing experience, larger screen/res, navigation ease, and app store. The Zunes simply a good PMP while the touch is so much more.

The zune HD is more for a music fan. With a zune pass, HD radio, better sound quality, mixviews, and tons of artist info it's a perfect playback device.

Get an touch if you don't know where to eat and need suggestions. It's more of a gadget than a mp3 player.

I use the touch to browse a multitude of sites, track my RSS feeds, check the weather, latest chatty (shacknews), play Real Racing (Gran Turismo to go), check my email, listen to Pandoras massive selection of tunes tailored to me, and most definitely output 320Kbps MP3's to a PIMETA and finally my Sennheiser HD580's.

Why get a Zune HD? That's simple, if you already have an iPhone 3GS and want a dedicated listening device.

From what I have read the Zune and the itouch both have decent sound. As long as you don't use the EQ presets (and honestly, I have good headphones and prefer a flat/natural EQ) the ipod sounds as good as a COWON. Personally I think that good headphones are the most important part of the sound experience. The 2G/3g itouch has an upgraded audio chip so don't use the 1G generalization to discount them ( the 1G Zunes sound bad too) .

Not too bad on the focus. I just unboxed mine and yeah, it is all that and a bag of chips. What I will say quickly is a fanboy wrote because of the OLED screen, you won't be able to see this in bright light which is why demos of it is done in subdued light. BULLSHIT! I live in Vegas and you don't get a brighter sun than Vegas. You can see this screen CLEARLY in direct sun. Itouch, not so much. More later. Good vid Jodiuh.

Great review man, apple was a nice touch. Even if the headphones are nice I doubt they will be as nice as the ones that came with the Zune80. I predicted stores would only carry the 16gb ones initially which is why I preordered my 32GB ^_^

Haha, I'm actually in the process of taking my Zune back. It sounds great, but it's a lousy browser and that's more important to me as I've already got a listening station.

I loathe iTunes though. No easy to use watch folder, it shows 89 artists, Zune software shows 35. Ugh, it's terrible.
