@meranenklubb just a different build of showmix you probably have a old version if you want the latest build of showmix its called Showmix Evolution and can be found but you need the latest dharma build of xbmc to run this see xbmc.org for dharma beta3 all this can be found at xbmc.org forums

In addition i have all my movies saved in downloads-movie-(lots of movieolders in different format

And i would just add the movies in the "movie" folder, but they are in sepeareate folders.. but im unable to browse and find them cause when i go add source - browse - users - public. and it doesnt say like guest neither my name, WTF please help me with the add problem to the libary effcantly, as well as finding teh directory

thanks a lot for your hel, i've been listening to you for almost an hour now, but i got to a point where somthings going wrong. When selecting a backdrop pic for the (pictures) on the main menu, the word changes from (pictures) to my file location so (C://Users/DAV1D...) and so on, what am i doing wrong, please let me know i've got so far now but this is really annoying me =( cheers.

Hmm...I selected the folders for the backdrops (downloaded off your site thanks btw) and now the menu item names have changed as well to reflect the folder location for the backdrops. For example, instead of saying "pictures" it says: "C:\xmbc\backdrops\pictures" Have any idea what is going on?

@iMeAgainstTheWorldi I reset the settings, changed the backdrops and it did it again? Maybe I will try and reinstall. I just downloaded skin ver 2.1 and whatever version of xbmc that's in the link. BTW thanks for all the great vids.

Quick question 1 - Where can I download all the backdrops you got from ? 2 - Before I scrape my movie info do I need to place each movie in a folder which has the same name as movie? Will the program also rename my .mkv file to for example (Fast & Furious 2009) or do I need to do that ?

Hi, i just did all of what you said and it was working fine until i added things to the movies and tv shows tab they have now dissapeared even tho i have them set to be show in the setting. i have tried reinstalling it but no luck. purge doesnt work either...any help?

i had this problem... do not call you folder movies but videos

I have loads of movies, is there a way to add menus so I can categorize my movies? (i.e. Action, Drama, Comedy)

xbmc does that for you you can search by genre (cartoon action drama) or actor or even director and studio.

When searching in actor lets say i want to look at all of will smith movies it will come up with every movie he is in.

And now a different issue- as soon as I map out my movies to xbmc and try to go back into Movies, xbmc crashes. I have downloaded fresh installs of everything to make sure it wasn't a bad build. Any ideas?

So i think the problem is that when i made the video downloaded a older version of xbmc things have changed in the xbmc world and they have just released XBMC Camelot Alpha which is a pre release that is still buggy i could be totaly wrong tho i will find out another download link and hopefully post the link in part 8

i have the same issue, also on the library settings 2:50 i can only see 5 options, i cant choose grab actor thumbs etc.

Oh ok, sweet. Cant wait for part 4. first two were the basics so kind of flew through it, and 3 was fun, now 4 should be great cuz i cant figure it out lol

at 2:38 your clicking through to "extract metadata" and I only see 3 options there... I got same file of yours from same source.. any idea? maybe theres an advance setting to turn on or something? help wouldbe appriciated.

Hey the only thing i could think of is that i might have a older version of the xbmc svn install than you its no biggie i wouldn't worry about it at all because in part 4 you will see that we use a software called Ember media manager to extract all our metadata for our movies so it wont affect you by not having it switched on.
