@Rimestrike all tho its great to learn to play the KEYS, but to make beats and produce great sound, Learn to create MELODY, layer your sounds and program drums. If you notice, the producer in the video isnt playing the keyboard in a traditional way, but he is staying in the same key and scale. He prolly does know how to play but in this case, hes not.
