They do this because they love the earth so much they feel they can help the earth by taking on human form. They will have features that remind you of an elemental. If you are one you will be drawn to animals, plants, trees, water, stones and nature itself. You may be looked at as somewhat strange. You will not care. You will meet others like you and know it. <:-)

@stupidshnyvolvowner sometimes elves,angels etc. can be trapped in human bodies&be sent to live among humans to either learn a lesson, fulfill a purpose, make a change or help. So they live human-ly among humans, yet have strong characteristics of their real nature, as they are half /half(like special powers, or show a preference to things of their kind, elves f.e. will love nature, sweets, shiney things etc). They usually don't reveal the truth to humans unless they can really trust them.

Hi Chris, I have a question. A long time ago a friend of mine gave me a porcelain or some similar material of such Troll. He gave him to me with his birth certificate and all the rules to follow. I did follow the rules for quite a while but then I completely forgot about him :( and Im worried about it now, I was very young back then and I didnt believe in them. Is there a difference between a Troll, a Gnome, Elf or Leprechaun? And also, what can I do to fix what I did? I am so worried and sad :(

i also have a story my grandmother told me. when my uncle was a child she said that he would always say if he can play with his "LITTLE" friends. he would ask her almost every day. out of curiosity she secretly fallowed him. when she approached him he was swimming in a lake. she said she saw what she describes, dark skinned children 2 to3ft. tall and when they saw her they all jumped into the water and disappeared. after my uncle was mad the whole day because she scared away his lil friends

i have one question. over in mexico were my grandparents live are told many stories which they say are true because many have seen them. they describe them as little kids with a dark complexion but they are always naked about 2 to 3 ft. tall they call them chaneques. they also say that they hide things from people. another thing that is also said is that they are Air beings because when seen they hide and disappear like saying they turn into air.

Elves appear as tall as humans thanks to Lord of the Rings movies. They did get it right though showing the Elves as tall and thin with the slighlty pointed ears. In realation to other Nature Spirits they do also appear taller.
