  • This thing is way underpowered for the price. Makes me happy I bought my SS balt when I did. At least it's not butt ugly like the new Impreza's though. Man, cars are sucking these days.

  • @soyntgo4it lollll you HAVE a genesis coupe now and going to buy a 2013? hahhahahaha you love bad products dont you? stimulate the economy? or just sitting behind the screen playin gangsta? crappy products is crap, end of story

  • Comment removed

  • @soyntgo4it well you wait for your 2013 Korean crap matter of fact you should get the genesis R spec and when the BRZ GT 300 comes out I'll meet you here in socal city of montebello to be exact and we can go at it for a few hundreds bucks if you even have that much in the bank and I'll show which is better huh how bout it???

  • this car will be fun as hell even with just 200 hp. i wish the music/noise in this vid wasn't so fvcking awful though

  • rx8 killer

  • This soyntgo4it obviously doesn't have a genesis. I doubt he even drives a car. No car owner will prowl videos of cars trolling and show how much a fanboy he/she is

  • @soyntgo4it < Look out! we have a bad ass over here! Weight is not an issue? You must've been smoking some strong shit grandpa. Yes the Genesis will smoke the base model of the BRZ/GT-86 on paper (or even in real life) but you Sir is such a moron to think that weight does not affect the performance of a car. I guess you really love being the odd ball here. :)

  • @scuderialoki Say that on the streets of Irohazaka FUFUFU lol

  • And they couldn't keep the AWD trend. :(

  • is it just me, or does this have the looks of a mazda?

  • @anubis1100 FUCK MAZDA.

  • Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT-86..yes they're basically the same car...but this is what you get when two of the world's most brilliant titans colaborate for the beauty and the beast within...♥

  • Not a bad looking car, I actually like it. 25k for a flat four boxster engine with 200hp RWD seems a little over priced to me. That power is matching up against the Scion Tc's (2012's) and the Scion FRS or whatever its called. Drop it 10k then that's a great price. Then again, I could be looking at outdated sources lol

  • lol.....a realistically effective spoiler on a Subaru.

  • It's got the Mazda "Smiley face" grill... Yikes....

  • @MatthewTrash haha thats the first thing i noticed. i like everything about the car except

    that

  • @soyntgo4it genesis coupe =piece of shit, why would i pay so much for a KOREAN car? for it's legendary reliability? for it's awesome resale value? for the expensive use of "real" interior quality? for its failed rev hang even when the engine is derived from the "bad" mitsubishi lancer evo? or the generic style of g35 coupe?

  • Comment removed

  • @soyntgo4it You struggle with basic English, so I very much doubt you're in the position to buy any of the cars you mentioned, or even be old enough to have a license. You should also realise that the Genesis, while it may have more power, will also weigh around 800lbs more than the BRZ. Sounds like you don't know shit about shit; dumbass.

  • Comment removed

  • @soyntgo4it Apparently you don't know English; as you don't even know the difference between 'your' and 'you're'. Every word I wrote is spelt correctly, so I don't know why you're mentioning that. Your words were, "GENESIS COUPE will still smoke the STI version of this car" and went on to support this claim by saying that the Genesis has more power, whilst completely ignoring the extra 800lbs it has to lug around. The only troll here is you, and you're a fucking dumbass, so shut up.

  • Comment removed

  • @soyntgo4it Disagreeing with your comment does not equate to trolling. Weight has everything to do with everything, which you'd know had you driven a car. There is a reason why F1 cars are built to be so light and it isn't because the people who pilot them don't know how to drive. I am no fanboy, I also happen to think the Genesis is a great car. All I've done is offer facts, all you've done is talk inane bullshit. I think it's pretty clear for everybody to see who the 'kid' is here.

  • Comment removed

  • @soyntgo4it You're the one going on about the Genesis in the comments section of a video about the Subaru, yet I'm the one trolling? I don't care what you say, anybody who knows even the slightest thing about performance dynamics knows that weight is incredibly important. Your words make you look like a clueless, ranting moron and the way you intereact with people over the internet makes you look like a petulant child. Enjoy your Genesis when you're old enough to drive champ.

  • Comment removed

  • @soyntgo4it Would you like to explain to me why a 306hp 3.8V6 Genesis hits 0-60mph in 5.4 seconds, whilst a 264hp Lotus Elise Exige 265E does the same in 3.1 seconds? I mean the Genesis takes 2.3 seconds longer to do the exact same thing, yet it has a 42hp power advantage. I guess the weight difference has nothing to do with it?

Someone with your mental capacity shouldn't even be allowed to drive; once you're old enough that is. Have fun failing at life.

  • Comment removed

  • @soyntgo4it Lol, enjoy welfare dumbass.

  • Comment removed

  • @soyntgo4it Who cares if it's classed as an exotic? The point is, it has less power, yet is much quicker because it's much lighter. What it costs is irrelevant you fucking dolt. If you want to compare domestics, why don't you look up the myriad of SUV's which have more power, yet are slower than a Genesis. Why is this? Well, it's because they're much heavier.

You're what stupid wants to be when it grows up. :-)

  • Comment removed

  • @soyntgo4it No, actually, I'm not. I can't say the same for you however; which leads me to believe you either haven't yet completed high school English, or you failed it miserably. Apparently you're listening, as you keep responding. Comparison is relevant, as you've said weight doesn't matter, where as it quite obivously does. Just accept the fact that you're a moron, devoid of all intelligence and leave car discussion to people who have actually been behind the wheel of one before.

  • @soyntgo4it 2012 mustang v6 performance package 0-60 5.1

    price 25,300

american made= win i love the new brz but i think the motor should be larger.bring back the supra.

  • Comment removed

  • @soyntgo4it yea i want the 5.0 but the v6 is a better performance value. at least for poor airmen like me.lol i hope the sti brz has some ass when it comes out.im sure it will. im just saying price vs performance the v6 stang pp is the best available right now.

  • @soyntgo4it and the mustang v6 pp smokes the genesis. i love the styling. just cant bring myself to buy korean made cars.

  • Comment removed

  • @soyntgo4it i agree.

  • Beautiful car. I hope it does well and that they come out with a turbocharged version. When they put it's turbocharged engine into an STi or WRX, I'll be trading my current STi in.

  • Nice looking car. Will be a step down from the WRX and WRX STI performance wise. This is to fall in between the impreza and the WRX, with rear wheel drive to boot. Should do well in sales. I would still take my 2011 WRX over this, but Subaru (and Toyota) really did a nice job on this ride.

  • that didn't even feel like a minute.

  • bunta will drive the suby and takumi will drive the ft86

  • hopefully its turbo charged

  • LOOks already tuned ready for the track

  • I'd love to see one of these on the street, hope they go into production. Subaru for life!!

  • the back looks like bmw 1m the front mazratti the front light r like the z4 and also the part f the chassis conbine with hona integra chasis !! it's just a junk yard !!

  • Takumi can deliver tofu again... Like a Boss!?

  • im still pissed that they added chrome rear lights and didn't keep the red ones. I just hope when they make the STI version, it looks like this one... that's if they make it

  • Scion or subaru hmmmmm

  • This is the Subaru Toyota partnership i believe? Scion/Sube

  • @iBeFrostee yes

  • looks like a 350z and an lfa had a kid

  • the front of the car is trash Id take my 2006 sti over that

  • I fing hate toyota but i likey

  • its not what makes a subaru a subaru

  • No hood scoop = thumbs down

  • haha what a huge difference between this and an Audi advert :D this one looks like it's promoting a toy...no feeling or emotional connection at all!!! Though I really like the car!

  • Subaru's answer for Nissan's GT-R perhaps?

  • @theaudiophilestore No, GTR = 545 HP AWD, $96k. BRZ = 200HP RWD $20-25k. Completely different classes.

  • @theaudiophilestore not quite the BRZ is meant to be an entry level tuner think hyundai genesis or toyota ae86 or something like that it has around 200-300 hp compared to the GTR's 480 not to mention a price difference of around 70-80k

  • Initial D

  • @pyrononpedo to bad the impreza wrx was in initial d

  • awd is for fairies and fat ass cheeseburger with ketchup americans.

  • @snakesinmypants says the security guard at a thrift store , eat a bag of dicks assclown !

  • Either Toyota bought Subaru or they're just working in collaboration. I sure hope it's collaboration because there's a Subaru BOXER engine in the Scion FR-S.

  • @SUPERFORMIAN toyota owns fuji industries and fuji owns suburu...

  • @comptonniggaLA That's funny because last i new Polaris industries owns more shares of Fuji Ind the Toyota does most of Polaris's engines come from Fuji Ind and Ktm

  • @SUPERFORMIAN Toyota bought 13 percent of Subaru's market share.. So.. technically, they're together now. They said they're going to buy more.

  • That doesn't make any sense, they can't take control until they have at least 50% market share. Why are they controlling them without full access??

  • I WOULD BUY THIS. This seems like a big success on Subaru :)

  • dos anyone know how much it costs in the U.S.

  • @TheUnpluggedCinema last i heard i think it will be selling for around 24k

  • it's a drift-enthusiasts car. toyota did not want to make another hypercar. but rest assured, the d4-s will be in the new STis W00t

  • Subaru and Toyota decided to come together to make a car. This is the final product. Only downfall: not all wheel drive..

  • @ThaAverageNerdz Wtf, not AWD? Talk about a let down. Failwheel drive ftl.

  • @herpderpangelop It's actually RWD.

  • i need to get both cars...to hard to choose

  • the back looks totally awesome.. the front, however.. blah

  • BRZ

  • this car is basically a mini Porsche. id like to see a versus between a Cayman and BRZ.

  • @xThatGuyZ BRZ wouldn't stand a chance. BRZ is better off competing against something like the Miata. Same weight and horsepower class.

  • @PhantomR32 when the STi variant rolls around i think it may have a chance against a Cayman. both great cars. both great engines! horizontal opposition for life!!

  • Lol @ kevgt, how is this gona bring back the excitement of Subaru when it's not even a turbo!??? I own a 2004 wrx sti and blive me the excitment is at 3and a half thou revs, wouldnt swap it for one of these horid things

  • @Adytimms life is not only about turbos bro..trust me, having a racing feel to the susps so good that it transmits the road feel directly to ur brain via steering wheel, and a chassi so "racey" that makes u feel like a race driver on a race track everytime u go buy some donuts is a lot more then just a turbo on a old fashioned soft rally car...and dont get me wrong, cuz i am actually a subaru sti fan..

  • this should bring back the good old excitement of the previous imprezas

  • Comment removed

  • Finally am affordable FR coupe!

  • @only1god091786 buy an impreza then...whats the point of a 4 door coupe?...well, its not a coupe anymore is it?!...

  • The back looks beautiful

  • @Rawrtrigga to me it kinda looks like a skyline(not the back... the side of the car)..

  • @Rawrtrigga the whole thing is beautiful

  • @Rawrtrigga Yeah i agree, looks so much better than the Alteza old school back light in the standard current version.

  • @Rawrtrigga Lexus's influence

  • not bad, but i prefer impreza...
