Why are there always negative comments on Caribbean music videos? More importantly why all the patriotic/political/social debates? All Caribbean islands are culturally,socially,and artistically unique in their own way. Therefore all aspects of each nation should receive mutual respect and tolerance between coexisting island nations. If you like the music, fine. If you do not like the music, fine. However, respect does not necessarily mean that you must like, favor, or agree with something.
The reason why I respect Destra as an artist is the fact that when you listen to her lyrics that's exactly what you hear. Destra has good storyline and diversity. That's why she's also one of my favorite artists, if not my favorite. Haters keep hating, but Destra will continue to put out solid mosic every year.

@Walrusita yeah she was a big disappointment for soca monarch but what does that have to do with what he said?..titles don't mean much outside of Trinidad. Destra is the only artiste besides Machel, who can headline a show on HER OWN on the international curcuit. If she chooses to, she doesn't need to enter any major competitions in T'dad and still make big money on d outside as long as she continues to produce hits...and she has a lot of those already.

@Jamaican004 There's a log of good songs this year. I think wid Ash Wednesday coming late so this year the artistes are carefully releasing waves of songs. We had the early ones before Christmas, then a next set around Boxing day, a further set in January and finally the remixes in Feb. and Roadmixes which are now making their respective début now.
You see when we coming up the Savannah track and this kicks up, MADNESS....It will grow on people, trust me. Ppl who doh understand the height of energy leading up to that ramp inside the Savannah won't get it.
