@intervene1284 I got it from Medaka350. He's been doing this for much longer than I have. I think he may have gotten it from Lukemorse1. Who's been doing it for even longer.
So basically what your saying is that you didnt remove the marker properlly with scratch out the first time because your dumb. Also why don't you just buy new cases whic h havent been marked and swap the paper insleeve.
Just subscribed love the passion you have for CIB collection. Also never even thought of taking out the insert before removing marker off the plastic case. Would have sucked if I had screwed some of my more expensive games. So thanks again because in the future I will remove the insert which takes away any chance for damage.
It does that. Lol. That's why I don't really recommend it for long intervals. It actually burned one of my PS1s. lol. The good thing about these solvents is to find the right concentration for the right job. I do enjoy working with acetyl aldehyde best, but it has to be done fast. If the job requires more scrubbing, then I'd always go for something else. The scratch-out agent actually scratches surfaces too, lol. It takes some getting used to. =)
yeh i hate how goodwill and other places mark the price in permanent marker...especially when its on the plastic itself, or even worse when its on a console.
hey QuickSciFi, do you know how to remove permanent markers off a CD. The bottom of the cd, the important part. bcoz my lil bro wrote all over it now i cant play. plz help asap thx
Try a strong solvent like 90% alcohol. That should remove 40-99% of the marker (Depending on the marker used or time that has lapsed). If that doesn't work, use a professional CD Scratch-remover (a machine that spins that disc against an abrasive of some sort until it removes a microscopic layer off the top). It's safe to use up to three times. Play N Trades in my area charge you $1.50 for that service. =)
any advice on buying genesis games? i just got a sega model 1 in the mail and im starting to collect genesis games. how do you know if theyre reproduction carts or fake boxes?
I believe that it is very rare to find repros out there in the wild, at least here in the U.S.; that is, of course, unless you actually hunt them down. There are various websites (like sega-16) that will grant you a good number of reviews and a nigh full list of titles. Check out some Genesis forums online to see what people's favorite titles would be, and then look up the cover art for each of them as you buy them. Also, look up the original printing (e.g. Plastic Clamshell vs. Cardboard)
If you're looking for more Sega Genesis games hit me up. I may can hook you up with new ones. I don't play them anymore.

Where did you get the idea of using scratch out? That's pretty smart. I'll have to try that one. Cologne gives me a headache.

WOW, thanx, I REALLY enjoy your videos. They are very entertaining, although I thought the video about removing stickers was a little silly.

hey i found a really good solution. Use a whiteboard marker. Its efficient and works great! make a vid.
Just overwrite the permanent marker with the whiteboard marker!

Good stuff. I use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Have used nail polish remover before but the smell gets to me,lol.

Thanks. =)
There are some that are odorless. But again, pretty much any strong solvent will work (with moderation, of course).
