jeez for a mac artist his look was REALLY BORING. also he didn't show what colors he was using, and you could tell he totally used some neutral shadow he blended into the carbon and he didn't even mention it!
also i hate it how they always link modeling and make-up. i mean, obvs make-up is most popular in the fashion industry but make-up is for every one, not just models.
But doesn't it make sense though? MAC is a makeup artist brand (Makeup Art Cosmetics) and the people who have traditionally pushed MAC to the forefront have been makeup artists, models, performers, and other artists. Why wouldn't they honour that tradition? Wouldn't it seem a little weird if it was a soccer mom wanting invisible makeup sitting in the chair instead of the model? Besides, they do "real" people on the website all the time - check the bridal section!
why do ppz want big eyes i have really big eyes i have cat eyes and i dont know what to do should i do this look or not will it make them look bigger hmm
The liner was a bit much for real life!! I think the wing would've worked if it extended from the upper line (on the lid) rather than on the lower line, it also should've been a bit shorter. I didn't really find this to be anything helpful. I can get a lot more ideas (mind you, with better details) in a magazine, like Allure.

MAC has this great makeup wipe that you pull out of a package. I wear my makeup dusky and this always takes everything off and leaves my skin smelling good and feeling moisturized.
Just use baby oil. Like the Johnson and Johnson stuff. ITs real good and fast. Wet a cotton ball or a piece of toilet paper, then press it against your eye for like 10 seconds and swipe gently. Its also great to take off waterproof makeup.
...and oil up your face, making it more prone to acne? plus johnson&johnson tests on animals and kills millions a year. not cool. stick to the MAC make up remover.
Um...actually I have super, and I mean SUPER acne prone skin and this does not cause me any break outs. It's not like I'm smearing it all over my face. Also, I said "LIKE" as in example. ok, i'm a MAC ADDICT. but is it just me or did the black eyeshadow, that he added as the finishing touch to her eyes seem way too bold.
I thought before he added the black eyeshadow... her eyes were gorgeous, maybe it was how he extended the black eyeshadow, either way i thought it was way too intense for her. I fhe would've stuck to the brown when he drew the line and did the black stick inside her eye, it would've completed it. i'm too picky i guess.
Don't like the cleopatra look. I think an eyeliner look this intense would even be too over the top for some evening occasions. But I love the lipstick color.

You can stay and use your elizabeth arden crap and im going to stick with my mac crap. but i can garantee you u can talk to any makeup artist and ask witch they would prefer..mac or elizabeth arden. and mac would be there choice! also keep in mind im not all 100% for mac. they do have some shitty stuff but i dont use just ONE line.
drug store makeup can't compare to Mac makeup. i think Mac makeup is definitely one of those things you should splurge on. i'm pretty cheap, but you guys should definitely try out the differences of things that are a bit pricier but looks really good compared to things that are cheaper but doesn't give you as much as you expect.
Mac does cost more then drug store makeup, Makeup is an investment in your face. This Makeup costs more because they have better ingredients and are better for your skin. The pay off on Mac eye shadows is better then others and that means you use less so it lasts longer. if you cant really afford this type of makeup buy one or two basic eye shadows, like colors that you use all the time and buy one good eye shadow brush and you will see the difference good makeup can make. : )
I love mac for everything but for me none of their liner's held up very well for daily use, so I fell in love with loreal's hip line's black eyeliner, it truly is amazing for a drugstore one.
Really? never tried that kind..... the best eyeliner I have ever tried is by Stila, they have this great eyeliner in pots. It stays on forever and goes on so smooth!! you should try it.
you should! Bobbi Brown's eye liner goes on and stays on, it never runs or smudges at all. I can say the same for stila so its just a matter of who you like best I guess...I'm turning in to a huge Bobbi brown fan. They have a great metallic's collection that just came out for fall and OMG it is GREAT!!! check it out.

i think she's gorgeous, and doesn't necessarily need a look like this.
however i think the tail of the liner should have been brought up more. instead the way he did it, it makes her look like an egyptian and doesn't give much defintion to her eye. the look itself is really pretty, but i definitely would have bright the tail of the line up more.
My comment is that when you start with a drop dead sexy model, it doesn't matter what makeup you put on her she is still as sexy as hell. Get a freaking fugly model and show me a makeup artist to make her somewhat attractive. A makeup artist that can do that is a real artist in my book.
Her lipstick makes me think of that one episode of Full House where the little girl learns how to use makeup, except it's Full House so it all looks bad.
I can't tell if you are making fun of me or of Full House or if you're serious or what so I'll just say the way her elbows are so close to her body makes her look of hunched over which is too bad because her shoulders look nice.
She has gorgeous eyes, but the makeup would look a lot better if the eyeliner didn't trail off so far from her natural eye, and if the lips were more of a neutral, pale pinkish-beige.
The makeup is really great, intense, but neutral. However, I'm not really loving the woman's plastic surgery on her lips. It looks like she got the procedure that implants a v and y shape in the upper and lower lips, and it looks unnatural and droopy when she speaks.
If those are her natural lips, I'd be very surprised. Her eyes are beautiful color, though.
If a woman needs to paint her face to appear beautiful to others, where is the beauty? Many women will not be seen without makeup, they hide in their rooms. Is makeup making women prisoners of their own deceit? Makeup addiction? Shame to show one's own face? "You're not beautiful enough. You need this crap on your face." Women prisoners, wake up.
Thats one point of view. Makeup is well respected art form that has been around since aciant egypt. Woman can hide behind anything. We all do things to feel better about ourselves. There is feeling better and there are addictions. I really dont think makeup itself is making woman prisoners of their own deceit. Addiction is. Dont bash an art form that is just as important as any painting at the met. Bitter woman prisoner, wake up.

The medical profession profits from people being and staying sick. The cosmetic industry profits from making women feel inadequate about their looks. It's all about money. If women felt okay about their looks, the multi-B-dollar cosmetic industry would mostly vanish

I can't tell if you are making fun of me or of Full House or if you're serious or what so I'll just say the way her elbows are so close to her body makes her look of hunched over which is too bad because her shoulders look nice.

She has gorgeous eyes, but the makeup would look a lot better if the eyeliner didn't trail off so far from her natural eye, and if the lips were more of a neutral, pale pinkish-beige.

The makeup is really great, intense, but neutral. However, I'm not really loving the woman's plastic surgery on her lips. It looks like she got the procedure that implants a v and y shape in the upper and lower lips, and it looks unnatural and droopy when she speaks.
If those are her natural lips, I'd be very surprised. Her eyes are beautiful color, though.

If a woman needs to paint her face to appear beautiful to others, where is the beauty? Many women will not be seen without makeup, they hide in their rooms. Is makeup making women prisoners of their own deceit? Makeup addiction? Shame to show one's own face? "You're not beautiful enough. You need this crap on your face." Women prisoners, wake up.

Thats one point of view. Makeup is well respected art form that has been around since aciant egypt. Woman can hide behind anything. We all do things to feel better about ourselves. There is feeling better and there are addictions. I really dont think makeup itself is making woman prisoners of their own deceit. Addiction is. Dont bash an art form that is just as important as any painting at the met. Bitter woman prisoner, wake up.

Good points. However... I'm referring to the intentional and malicious creation and perpetuation of a woman's inferiority complex from a young age by those who profit from selling makeup. The medical profession profits from people being and staying sick. The cosmetic industry profits from making women feel inadequate about their looks. It's all about money. If women felt okay about their looks, the multi-B-dollar cosmetic industry would mostly vanish
