  • Thank you! I must be forever smart phone challenged because mine is surely much smarter than me. Your clear instruction was excellent. The important part to me was forgetting to change USB from "charge." Shame on the 2 people who were negative. Your were perfect!

  • @powdrpuffgrl Weird error, if you mount as a disk drive it shouldn't matter the carrier, most HTC phones should work the same. I'll start researching that, let me know if you find a fix!

  • @groversolomon SO GUESS WHAT.....i finally got it to work. it mustve had something to do with having another USB attachd to the PC tower..but whatever it worked it self out. didnt DL anything but just loaded my songs onto my thunderbolt. im loving my phone more and more everyday i have it. but in any case thanks for the awesome vid. =)

  • @groversolomon I was having this exact same issue. I shut down my TB, physically removed and reinstalled the SD card, fired it back up, and that solved it.

  • Hey, I'm trying to do this, but I don't see a "removable disk" in my computer folder... HELP! :(

  • @MikeS1026 One way to be able to see which drive your phone is is to plug your phone in after you have the mycomputer screen up and then choose the disk drive option.

  • @topbilla Should be able to download into the Music folder on the device. From there you should be able to select them as your alert tones.

  • thanks dude! ive been asking around forever trying to figure out how to transfer music to my TB. worked great and easy to do!

  • The best answer i found from osbuzzer.com/android-general-discussion/5-how-add-own-mp3s.html , if u visit, u can find the right answer

  • Really helpful. Thanks!

  • This is very helpful, and thank you for posting. If I may make a suggestion though: The video was not clear enough to read either your PC screen or TBolt screen. Maybe you could work on improving visual clarity to match your helpful verbal advice?

  • @PhilD13 Thanks for the Feedback, I know that the clarity wasn't that great but hopefully we've got the problem fixed for the videos going forward. thanks again!

  • TYYY

  • do we have to make a seperate file for music? because i can't seem to find the default folder (if there is one)

  • @spieagentl You should have a default music folder on your computer, but you can always create one if you aren't able to find it when you go to "My Computer"

  • @groversolomon What if there is no "MUSIC" file on the actual phone?? what do we do then?

  • hey, what if the removable disk drive doesnt even pop up?

  • @rhia013 If the USB cable is connected properly to the Computer then you should get a USB connection notice in your Notification bar. Touch that and the removable disk option should be there

  • Thanks for the reply, I uploaded 4 videos from my GOPRO camera however they wont play! I will try to figure it out.

    Thanks, Rick.

  • Can you upload 720P HD videos to the Thunder Bolt?

  • @unclericker1 I have no trouble uploading DVD quality video's to my phone, also you can upload 720p video's directly from the phone depending on the file size you might have to use WiFi though

  • What about transferring music from the Thunderbolt that has been added through the MP3 music download App to the PC? Is it even possible? Thanks for any help.

  • @zj4xguy71 Yes you can do it and it's pretty easy (morality issues aside..lol) While your phone is mounted as a disk drive, look for the file with the same name as your music downloader app. When you find it, open it, find the song you intend to move, and then just simply drag the mp3 file over to your music folder on your computer to copy it.

  • @groversolomon Thanks for info.

  • @afroninja929 Helps a bit, thanks for feedback!

  • @tpclod Glad it helped! Thanks for the feedback and let me know if you had any other questions
