  • customer service for sure. is one.

  • Has anyone noticed that when black businesses do survive they usually also have whites and others working in them (in the higher levels) and for some reason people no longer seem to identify them as "Black Businesses" this includes the Black people who own them because they are less concerned with the label and it's positive and negative conotations and more concerned with the business itself. Maybe more survive than is noted?

  • Black folk dont support black business cause they dont like to acknowledge that they are black. Sista dont answer inquiries and questions from morons, they are not about what you are about. Black love and black advancement.

  • @sheltonw2 I take it that you don't like black women

  • @secondshen Why do you say that, what other videos of my have you seen to think this way???

  • Super soaker is black owned I think

  • Capitalism is a myth. It's a bad idea from the start. This is why the world is falling but black women will be the last to get it because they're to busy tryin to be someone else. And whites created this mind frame. The GOD's own this world, and it's not a business. white made businesses to hide the raping of the planet. But who am I, the Elohim. Yall can't stop this because it's not yours. F*%k what you heard.

  • get the book powernomics by Dr. Claude Anderson black people please get that book you can find it on amazon.com new or used!!!!

  • @Truth4Media456 I hope you are boycotting white stores that follow you around and treat you badly as well. Thats poor customer service.

  • It seems like prospects feel they need to be convinced a black person is good or their business is good in other ways that don't pertain to the business. I feel like I'm taking a S.A.T. sometimes, like selling yourself more makes the product any different from someone of another race selling the same thing.

  • I think the first mistake is in defining what a "black owned business" is. Generally, people think of a black owned business as a business that is owned by, operated by, and catering to black people. Where I would deviate from this definition is where I think the problem lies. The business catering to black people exclusively. Expand your target market. Offer products to customers - ANY customer - ALL customers. Become the next great AMERICAN success story. Think (bigger) and Grow Rich.

  • THE GOV PAY 4 RESTARAUNTS TO SERVE PORK AND SHIT.NEVER PERSONAL IT BIZ

  • When you look at establishments, they don't always appeal to their own. Sort of the "grass is greener" syndrome. Look at the people who go to China town or white establishments. I do think businesses are drawn to minorities with a "Mein Kampf" attitude of maintaining their own identity but with a brahmin attitude.

  • the reason why black businessdont survive (my opinion) is because alot of times the business are not well kept and also because instead of black people trying to bring eachother up like others races we try to compete with eachother(crab in a bucket)

  • jealousy eveybody wants to be the man

  • @TRUindeed7 agree 100%

  • black business need to figure out how to get the white dollar

  • First at all money is green customer are always looking for a good deal, you know who you are you don´t have to tell people it is a black business, it is a business it is full time job and you will work more than when you were employee, keep focus get to know your potential customer and sell the kind stuff s they need to buy, be kind and gently it will make you customer come back it doesn´t matter if you are, black, blue or green. Do your things and be a role model, 4 our kids.

  • White Supremacy has many faces. However, A Lot Black Americans refuses to see them. Because they may have to face the truth about themselves.

If your asking this question. It means, you HAVE NOT FALLEN INTO THE MANY TRAPS OF WHITE SUPREMACY.

    yet.

  • I'm going to make this short and to the point. There are THREE BASIC REASONS BLACK BUSINESS FAILS IN AMERICA. (1) Culture. Black Americans HAVE NO ESTABLISHED CULTURE TO DRAW FROM. (2) Self Hatred. Black American HATE THEMSELVES. SO THEY THINK ANYTHING THAT COMES FROM ANOTHER BLACK PERSON IS GOING TO BE FLAWED. (3) The ability to OPT OUT OF SELF RELIANCE. MOST BLACK PEOPLE IN AMERICA KNOW THAT WHEN TIMES GET HARD ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS BEG WHITES FOR HELP. And in most cases they'll get it. Cont:

  • because some black business owners are cheap, and have bad customer service. a couple of black businesses mainly restaurants don't give samples of their food, especially if they are privately owned they don't have half of what's on the menu. they sometimes feel like it's their store and they run things, have an attitude, don't say hello.. etc. i will turn right around and walk out.. no problem.

  • THIS IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT SUBJECT TO US BLACK PEOPLE IN ALL THE WHOLE WORLD! THANX FOR ADDRESSING IT LUNDYCANADA! By the way, WHERE'S THE BOOTY POPPING???

  • THIS IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT SUBJECT TO US BLACK PEOPLE IN ALL THE WHOLE WORLD! THANX FOR ADDRESSING IT LANDY!

  • @phr34kyy

By migrants looking to come in and use and abuse their country, so why support them when you've just be gang fucked for you, your family and you nation/cultural, the people can't even come in and have the decency to learn the language and then push their minority "Victim hood" card around.

Theirs alot of reason why foreigners don't and wont ever get anywhere in white nations, because untill the rest of the world become mongrelised like the west, no ones supporting their own death.

  • The truth? Cause we are cursed for not obeying the commandments that was giving to our forefathers. We want everything but we must take care of God's business first then only then we will be blessed. We are the true children of Israel.

I prefer the whole chapter of Deutoeronomy 28

    Deuteronomy 28:15,20,37,43-46,

  • you are also not supporting black businesses by your hair style. Where did you buy that wig?

  • My biggest problem with black owners are the poverty pimps. The ones that make money on the people in need. Outside of those types, I would luv to support black, but alot of the time, the prices are way above what the other stores are selling things for not to mention, alot of the complaints already mentioned are the norm... People hanging in front of the store, music loud, rude,etc... Even with all that said, I still make an effort to stay black, because every apple ain't rotten.

  • Hi im not from the U.S. but 50% of all new businesses fail in the first year. But way should black people go to a black Business. If i half to go to the grocery store i dont go that one is owned by a white guy, i go to the store closest to me, who cares what ethnicity the store owners is.

  • @ikeones For Blacks we have a very unique situation unlike any other race. For blacks, not buying black is a big problem. In order to build up our community, we must put money in it. We can't do that if we are taking it out. Blacks support your own people; If not we wont be a people.

  • I would love to support Black-owned business, but there are two issues : (1) The products and services that I normally seek out are not sold by Black-owned businesses and (2) where are the Black-owned businesses? And I'm not talking about the music or fashion industries.

  • @lambda1982 Check out the directories that are online.

  • Most don't survive, because of lack of capitol, lack of knowledge, poor attitude,

lack of confidence, poor quality product, poor customer service skill, and poor

    money management.

  • Rocawear is no longer owned by Jay-z the company was sold, jay-z only has

input on the designs, jay-z sold the company for 200 million to foriegners that

have so much doe they can put your light outs, most blacks don't even know

whats going on in the apparel industry. Believe me there are so many

foriegner from middle east investing big time in america Get that Money!!

  • Thats bull!

  • Black Owned Businesses would thrive if people like you stop spreading the negative propaganda that Blacks don't support Black Businesses. You need to stop patronizing all those other Mexican and Chinese Businesses you mentioned, and look for opportunities to Buy Black and encourage your friends and family to do the same. Create a follow up video where you feature yourself shopping at a Black Owned Business. There's over a million Black Businesses, visit Fraser Net dot com. Stop the Progaganda!

  • Why Black Business don't Survive? How can you say that when the crack cocaine business is entirely black owned & operated and thriving in every American city! Brave entrepreneurs raking in the cash and making their way in life by destroying the lives of others! Ka-Ching! Boo Yeah!!

  • Envy and jealousy, plain and simple.

  • Don't generalise! African businesses seem to be doing fine!

  • I'm a firm believer in buying black. The biggest concerned I have with Black own Businesses is that, they have an attitude, they don't smile, they don't greet you as you walk in their establishment, they don't talk to their customers with respect. they behave like you're in the store bothering them. for instance I was in a Jamaican restaurant. the server came from the back and said to me, yeah, what do you want? What do i want? i replied. then i said am good, and i walk out to restaurant.

  • @luckyanthony77 Is that so called attitude any worse than White Owned businesses putting up signs that read White Only? What ever "attitude" they have is a minor issue compared to building Black Economic Wealth and our Communities. Asians are the worse and most disrespectful business owners in my experience. They will say in a heartbeat You Buy? You No Buy Get Out! even before you have made up your mind on whether you have found what you were looking for. Show Patience when dealing with your own

  • @ResearchKnowledge123 That is so true. Others treat Blacks like dogs, but for some reason we continue to buy from them.

  • I honestly believe that black people not supporting black business is a myth. Every single black business that fails always leads people to believe that the lack of support is what drove them out. MANY black businesses thrive on the strength of black support. Supply the needs of your community, keep your business clean, offer superior customer service and/or products, stop acting as though you're doing us a favor or that we are obligated to do business with you and you should be straight!

  • Hello were Asian WE Support black businesses if your a Hair salon we will Sell you Hair 100 percent Whole Sale Prices Serious reply only with min orders .

  • One major issue is customer service. I do notice and not just in black owned bus. that black people treat other races with more respect then their own. Also there is inconsistency with hrs. If you are to open at 11 each day you should be there at 11 not 12 or 1. I have stopped going to businesses because they are not there when they state they are suppose to be. I have stopped going to classes for the same. Also I know stores who have gone out of business because they kept being robbed.

  • Black business owners = least effort, least honesty, least consistency.

With their first profit they buy the loudest stereo system they can find rather then pay back the loan.

  • I once went to a business in san francisco and had on a giants fitted cap, and the female black clerk that was checkin my stuff out looked at me and said at least u have on the right cap... I was like WTF!!! trust I would never go back there and I tell everyone I know not to got there.

  • @talentscout77 So you are waging an anti-Black Business campaign discouraging friends and family from patronizing a Black Business, because a clerk said you had on the RIGHT cap??? Have it ever occured to you that she may have been a Giants fan? She may have been from New York, or might have even been flirting with you. Yet you chose to get offended and encourage your circle of friends to Boycott the business??? That's idiotic and absurd!

  • Self hate. U think wats in ur hand is the remote which controls the tv. Well they were named wrong. The tv is the remote , wats in ur hand is the subject selector and ur life is the show. Don't get programmed.

    VirgilsPortal2@ Twitter

  • Being a Black business owner what I have learned from two law suits and poor management at locations I would say We can not do it all there needs to be someone for each component of the business sales and marketing, book keeper, personnel manager, operations manager, pay roll manager, than have constant staff training this is want I have learned in the last 8 years.

  • And on the other hand, if we are speaking negative words concerning our situations and ourselves then we speaking bad things and death into our life and into the lives of others.

  • The Power of Life and death is in the Tongue. Do some research and be more positive! If you are serious about starting your own business then why are you starting out with a headline like"Why Black Business don't Survive?"Why not using a positive title like "How to run a successful (blackowned)business or successful business period.

  • Personally I think Black people don't support black business because they are good at marketing. I mean a lot of times I have no idea they exist. Secondly black people often sell their establishments to soon and to non black people.

  • @ProphetGuardian RIGHT, Bingo that is a problem.

  • I think they pick the wrong products to sell, they aren't consistent when they do go into business and other black people think they should get discounts because they're black. A business couldn't survive giving discounts all the time. Customer service sucks and I don't know where this behavior comes from is it taught or what? I think black folks just need to take classes in business instead of just winging it cause that ain't working

  • @skeetmoses RIGHT!!!

  • @lundyncanada Hopefully black folks will get it cause this has been going on too long.

  • I'm in business myself. I've been profitable for a few years. I know for a fact that the PRIMARY reason businesses don't survive is that the owners DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING. They lack intelligence, knowledge, skills, talent, and experience. They simply suck at their business. Also, if you lack integrity, honesty, or hard work, that can hurt a business too. You have to start small and cheap and gain experience. Starting big with no experience is a good way to fail.

  • There are too many to list as the reason why black own businesses fail. They fail for the same reason that non black businesses fail but maybe at a higher rate. You heard the saying that if they got a cold then we got the flu. Poor planning will be #1 for such a high failure rate. Chances for success increases greatly from writing a good business plan.

  • Priorities of the black man:

#1. Ugly white girl with a fat ass

    #2. Stupid 24" chrome rims

    #3. Fitted Hats

  • @undertherose831

Thats a small segment of hood niggaz, now we know the crowd you run with

  • We are still mental slaves. We have no unity. We also believe that the White man's ice is colder.

  • FUBU, SEAN JOHN, DAVOUCCI, MAURICE MALONE, KARL KANI..., were making hundreds of million dollars now blacks ran away to LOUIS VUITON, GUCCI, PRADA... how can a race live confortably without pride? ROCA WEAR is owned by JAY-Z but 2 other owners are behind the scene and are... RUSSIANS, the jewerly you in rap videoz are made by kazakstanian DAVID SHIMONOV, that's how we're always behind

  • I'll just say that I support the locals when possible. When I lived in Kansas City I used to get my BBQ from the one and only Arthur Bryants. The problem with other Black owned businesses came from the fact that I was not welcome there as a White man and it showed in customer service. My money is as green as anyones. I can only speak from my own experiences though.

  • I agree with one of the other response that when you go into the black neighborhood a lot of the businesses are owned by other races. Run your business based on good morals. Be professional and respectable to customers. Customers are the life's blood of a business. The sad thing is the first level of opposition is our own people. We need to elevate ourselves above where we are currently.

  • halo can save hip hop

  • black people usually don't own grocery stores but you will occasionally find out that there are black store owners. Black people who own successful businesses don't usually market themselves as black owned like other races such as hispanics and other cultures because we use the average american things. but there are alot and i do mean alot of african owned stores so if you african americans check for store owners of different grocery stores and you'll find them they just hire all races.

  • 3 words....Bad Customer Service.

  • @chicospaintingco Excellent comment. This is so very true!

  • @lundyncanada Good message sis, much kudos to you!!

First you have to make sure you have a viable commodity; something that people are going to need…..especially in today’s market. Also, it’s about using commonsense, treating customers with respect and courtesy, being reliable and keeping the shop presentable, so at least people will want to enter.

There are a myriad of important things, but another main ingredient is support from black customers. Another "Black Wall Street" is a reality.

  • I think the main we don't learn enough about economics to start and maintain business.Black are so brainwashed that they will pass a black business by to go elsewhere .We have a bad reputation among each to feel you will be screwed. If you create a good honest service and treat customers like people. I can since when you 're just doing it for the money,to be frank stop doing shady shit. black folks all ways want a black business to just give their services away ,all ways want something free

  • My dad owns a small printing factory and I am black, and to be honest the main problem is many black people are not willing to put into the business the 50-55+ hours and a huge amount of life savings to start off a business. They rather buy a new car, or clothes etc. When we compare our black employees against the other ones, the black one tend to be less efficient than the others. Another problem is that black people DO NOT support black businesses they are more jealous than supportive.

  • When dealing with other ethnic groups I dont have a lot of the same problems eventhough it exist amongst them. When Im spending my money I want some one to be honest and be good on their word whether it be the quality or quanity or what ever. It is just all about honest business with me. When dealing with blacks especially with all the conservatism and the recession going on it is best to not just rely on the black community if you want to be successful cause they will leave your ass high n dry

  • From a consumer point of view I also believe that black businesses have a bad stereo type or reputation on them because of past black business owners. It seems as though (from my experiences with black businesses) it seems as though they are trying to get over on you or maybe the product is to pricey. They are also good at taking money for a service that has not been done yet and not completing the service...and you have to take they ass to court.

  • Hey, there how are you doing? I've done my own research and plus I have experience in business myself. #1 most importantly we had a huge decline in black businesses after the civil rights movement. Once the Jim Crow laws lifted subliminally we drove ourselves out the market. Blacks are the #1 consumers in America by way of small spending, we make the market but dont have out own market because we allow other ethnic groups to come in our neighbor hoods and set up shop.

  • A majority black customer base will rob and steal you completely out of business.

  • because nobody has confidence in the black race lmao..

    LOL

maybe I should start one and have my whiter cousin lie and (he's still black but you can't tell) like he's not considered black.. but his dad is.. have him lie and say he owns it so that way it survives longer

because everyone is racists against black race including other blacks.. they think they aren't but they really are I heard someone talking..

  • It is because black people do not operate on the same mindset as white people... we are highly skilled in other things in which whites are not. It is a fact. You never wonder why there are more blacks in the NFL and NBA, better dancers etc...

It is a white man's world forged over centuries for the people who submit to their will and their way of life, especially here in the U.S. That would include the so called "cross-over negro". Unfortunate, but I think it would be hard to prove wrong...

  • Why blacks businesses go bankrupt?

1 - The black male goes out and buys a $80k BMW with his first earnings.

2 - He has no idea what a stock portfolio is.

3 - Too busy entertaining slutty women.

4 - Does not properly care for his business or his employees.

    And finally

    Treats his customers like crap.

  • I will preface by saying that I go out of my to support Black Businesses.

You need to understand the psychology of Black People period. Underlying a vast majority of Black Minds is the ever ubiquitous issue of "self hate". Mostly, Black Folk tend not to treat each other with any value. I site the poor attitude of the Black Business Owners to the Black Consumer as my proof, but some Black Consumers are terrible customers to the Black Business establishment. How do we change that condition?

  • @lundyncanada that nasty comment that guy left. i would tolerate comments like that.

  • 1. Black people don't open up businesses enough

    2. Black people go it alone, i.e. don't get family and friends to invest

    3. Black people don't know to have 1 year of full expenses when starting a business

    4. Black people don't seek out a mentor

    5. Black people don't get a lawyer

    6. Black people don't buy their business needs from other Blacks i.e. a white supplier can shut you off and BOOM you're out of business

    7. Black people don't market market market market market market GET IT?

  • @lundyncanada just remove the comment, that is shameful to even have that on your page. this is your page.

  • Ok, I will be truly honest. Some Black people are jealouse of other black people doing well for themselves. Also alot of Blacks don't keep up there property (clean up, grass not cut, rude employees, etc). It makes the customers say i'm going to the white restaurant because it looks cleaner and the employees are polite. Black people gotta chip on their shoulder now a days that no one can tell them what to do, they they know it all already. Common courtesy has gone out the window.

  • All it takes is fresh products, clean and safe location along with excellent customer service. Attitude and professional manners has a lot to do with black businesses not being successful.

  • well i go to soul food places and they smell like dirty mop water. I go to clothing stores and the customer service is terrible. we got to much bullshit on our mind instead of handling business. cell phones,ipods,gossip,etc......

  • You are very pretty. A few things, it could be the neighborhoods, bad attitudes, customer service. You are very pretty.

  • Black businesses a lot of time are bootleg they never have the products and services other races have, the customer service is horrible, and they are unprofessional.

  • besides, bars, barber, hair salons, restaurants and churches, WHERE ARE THE OTHER BLACK BUSINESSES?! there's a ton of korean and dominican corner stores in the inner city neighborhoods. you might luck up on finding a black insurance agent, but not a insurance company owner. you'll tend to find a black handy man, before you find a black licensed contractor that could do good work for a good price. for some insane reason, blacks have become great customers.

  • A business shouldn't depend on racially biased support.

A business should be able to stand on its own.

Look at major white businesses that depend on racism to survive, GM, Ford, Chrysler. They off terrible products. They can fail at any moment. Why, because they depend on racist white men for patronage based on hatred of Asians.

I personally would not support any business based on racism.

  • Just look at black role models. Rappers, athletes, etc. Whites, Indians and Asians do follow music and sports but they also idoloze their parents. Their parents work for a living. They went to college. They take care of the day by day business. When 70% of blacks are born out of wedlock and have no working father to idolize. It's a tragedy but the bigger tragedy is the black leaders out there to blame this on racism.

  • Black people dont support them. They blame poor customer service but they dont even tell the black owners about it. So they think its okay.

  • Why blacks don't succeed with business? Lack of unity.

Blacks are the largest minority yet the difference between black owned areas & those owned by other ethnicities is that 1) Asians, Middle Easterners, Jews/Israelis, & whites are more synced, 2) their interest in higher learning, legal advancement & takeover is institutional.

Remember when a black kid was unpopular & intimidated by other blacks for getting good grades? It started there.

  • You are on the right track to bettering the issue by asking for brutal, honest reasons; that is the first step. Good luck. Here are a few of the reasons I have avoided Black businesses, in the past... Rude clerical behavior, dirty interiors, bullet proof glass, rude clerical behavior, thugs hanging out near the entrance, inferior product quality & rude clerical behavior.

  • greed and jealously

  • Why don't black people support black businesses? Integration & crabs in a barrel mentality. Why don't black businesses survive? Poor business model, lack of sufficient capital, unwillingness to engage in cooperative economics, inconsistency, poor money management, unprofessionalism, being too much to too many people, underpricing, not setting goals/milestones, poor time management, uneducated about marketing, no boundaries with friends/family, low self-worth, catering only to black people.

  • Can you, please, expound on your answer?

  • @virtualgotogirl Amen!!!! Powernomics is the answer.

  • the fact of the matter is that ninety percent of all businesses fail within ten years, regardless of the ethnicity of the owners. i support establishments that provide quality products or services.

  • another thing we also tend to put unneccesary companies in area for instince it is completly stupid to put a chicken and woffle place next to mcdonald in a generaly white area for the general fact that

1 mydonald is well known and advertises

2white people dont eat as much chicken or woffles as we do

and those are my theorys business is mainly about location and quality

  • well in flint black business dont survive because they tend to over charge on poor services and then theres the forced cultural aspects not everyone once to be/deal with a gangsta but we tend to enforce that with music allowing bad crowds and stuf like that so if ur runing a business rememer good quality good services and a fair price will take u far

  • Customer service is the most important aspect of business. Many focus on getting money, anyone can get money, not everyone can run a successful business. Assuring that your customers are happy will insure that they come to your business and 9 times out of 10 they will leave some money behind.

  • you are so cute!

  • First of all I started off by giving a thumbs down to all the racist comments and especially the ones using the N word, so disrespectful. Then I see that the maker of this video is telling viewers to "F" themselves, what does that tell you? I hope she doesn't have a business. It is so much easier to delete these derogatory comments than to lower yourself to those people's standards. I don't even care to answer the real question you had to begin with, just being honest.

  • Many black business do survive but with my experience, the ones that do not have very poor customer service. Rap music is always playing and they have too many people (family and friends) loitering around the establishment. We need to tone it down and be more professional. BTW, ur right, we like healthy foods too.

  • Ive asked myself the same thing...I thinks there are a few issues. 1. Friends and Family hanging around doing nothing . 2)Customer service 3. limited emphasis on marketing.....But I think the worst problem i see is the extra people just hanging around the business (at least the ones in the hood)

  • Becasue Black folks aint Got no since! If you live where I do. Racism is in live and in effect. I Pastor a small country holiness Chruch and 75% of the Church is white, yet in this county Lafayette, Tennessee, a School Teacher which she is a white women, has now lost all of her so called family and friends, just becasue she attends a Church where the Pastor is Black. As the main reason is Deuteronomy, please read the entire 28th Chapter! May your eyes be opened. Verse 68 is the revelation. Peace

  • Black businesses do not survive because we do not stick together. If you go to "little Italy" or "China town" you see a large and collective group of individuals of the same culture and race in a small area. We don't stick together. We live in predominantly black areas but usually someone of a different race owns the homes we live in and the stores we do business in. You will never see a black owned soul food restaurant in china town but every Black neighborhood has 10 Asian black hair stores!!

  • I am Haitian I will cast a spell and you will do well in your business. People will break your door down to do business with you.

  • @Wickedrub Is your family ok?

  • Yes All my family is in the States in Canada. I thank you for your concern. Haiti is a place that really needs attention

If this war wasn't going on we would could focus our attention on Haiti but oh!! wait there is no oil there mmmm!

  • First of all I think a lot of blacks are selfish and sometimes just because you are black they feel that is not necessary to respect you or what you do. For your business to survive advertising is a big part. Local and national wide advertising may be necessary.

  • In the U.S., there are 823,500 black-owned businesses that generate $71 billion in revenues.

African American owned businesses make up 4% of the nation's 20.8 million non-farm businesses and 27% of its 3 million minority owned farms.

38% of the nations African American owned businesses are owned by women, a higher percentage than any other minority ethnic group. Black Press. repeat the lie long enough and people believe it.

  • The lack of support from black people, the perception of crime , people hanging around the stores and lack of advertising, will cause the closures of many Black Businesses.

  • and good habits

  • education,communication,connection,

    trust,and sacrifice

with this we will have much progress

  • 1. Most of the times there located in bad area's

    2. Some of the crazy folks are always hanging area

    3. Most black folks have people who speak some crazy type of engish thats not understood by most people.

  • i'm black, please support my business mowattz electronix the online electronics store

    thanks

  • Hello! Peace! Whatsup! 4's UP! ....Ect. i'm ALiM. Owner of 4's UP! (The Do 4Self Store).... just would like to build with you all 4 a moment. Allow Me to get this out the way 1st. SLAVERY Teachings....Willie Lynch, Jim Crow, White Supremacy..... it's 2010, that shouldnt even be an issue.. so we're either REAL slow, or some1 had a REAL good plan...ne way what i've seen in BLACK businesses i've seen in white ect. Bad service & products, in every feild. We need ACCESS & UNITY YES!

  • Ignorant people always offer their opinion without any real work behind it. If theres a problem, it would be wise to find out if theres anyone out there dealing with that particular issue full-time. Therefore, youll be more likely to get to the root of the problem as well as a arrive with a sold solution. In regards black business, (Black Economic) everyone should refer to the masterful Dr Claude Andersen. Watch his videos on PowerNomics.

  • truth is most business models come from where the people originate. in all ethnic minority groups they specialise in a field and then upscale. the only difference for us is that we never got a chance to specialise in enough monetary businesses when these models were being developed. now with their monetary power, it allows them to buy into other businesses like haircare. also we only know about local economies (ie america) and dont control/ monitor trade routes.

  • Its complex and crazy, yet it is a way to compete, and you learn it growing up playing cards. Hispanics have down to a science. Its called cut throat, make your prices so low that they have to come to you because it is to economical to pass up. If you are trying to open up and go emono to emono, it will be difficult, black people think that you are a family member to them they always want da hookup. Other than that advertising helps, trade shows networking doesn't hurt.

  • Black people have unique and complex problems, meaning black folks are unique and complex. Alot of black folk are self hatred for there own peoples or no respect or reverence. They would rather fund other ethnic groups that don't spend with black folk, like Middle easterners, Indo, Paki, Korean, Chinese and White jews and white folk.

  • Many black businesses have people that operate it with no planning, no professionalism, rudeness with verbal and non verbal. No adequate training of management and employees. Unwelcoming and not knowing how to great there customers. I think many black businesses I have come across I blk people that actually don't not like serving people, or there own people in general. Its very sad what I have seen

  • Well I'm a sister from Toronto Canada working on my own business. I make cosmetics. I've been trained in customer service and sales. I'm articulate, polite and overall nice person.

  • The problem why black businesses don't succeed because we as black people are looking for hookups from black CEOs we know to get free stuffs from them instead of just spend our money on them. Other reasons are that we envy one another. We tried to stop our own people from getting ahead.

  • I'll tell you my own story with black businesses. I was all for black businesses but I have gotten rude service. I did not get respect. When I showed financial support for black businesses I was looked as a pest and unwanted. I have had some employees at black businesses try to rip me off. But I am aware of all business too. I am aware who I give my hard earned money too.

  • From the way i see it, its a combination of things, advertising, location, the service, bad money management skills, greed.

  • Everyone acts like we have a lot of black owned businesses. Where are they? what businesses are you guys talking about? what grocery store, corner store, beauty supply store, or gas station are you referring to? THE DON'T EXIST

  • black people hate eachother

  • Right. We don't support our local businesses. I remember a Black business owner (can't recall his name) opened a grocery store in Los Angeles, correction, a SUPER grocery store that he sunk something like 6.5 mil of his own savings into, and within months he had to sell the store to staggering loses. This man was selling top quality products at very low cost in the heart of the Black community, theres no reason this should have happened...

  • To be brutaly honest black people are not aware.

You can open a booth at a local flea market and see why black business are hard to keep open. Black people do not support there own like other groups.

And is a funny little secret to white folks and Arabs and Asians and others .

Black people love shopping at other places besides there own people.

Awareness they either don't know or don't care.

  • I'll support a black business I just had blacks be cruel to me and try to take my money or try to rip me off.

  • Black people love talking about black business this and black business that, but they do not address the poor customer service, dress standards, gum poppin, and overall nasty attitudes that has the potential to run customers away.

  • @jblackmel Hahaha. Whites don't work hard either, but a few I know. The majority of them hate working hard.

  • @visionimagify Hahaha for some reason I believe you.

  • @jblackmel I agree.

  • @jblackmel I agree some black people need etiquette training, they have to remember the customer is reason why you thrive in business, simple things like saying hello when a customer comes in and thanking at the end transaction can make or break you. Quality and value for money helps too, some black business charge more they need to study the market of their competitors so they give more accurate pricing.

  • From my perspective and from my experiences, I want "PROFESSIONAL, TIMELY" service with proper CREDENTIALS and CERTIFICATIONS. It seems as though some black people do not have good "CUSTOMER RELATIONS/SERVICE" skills; too much attitude. Turned of when i walk into a restaurant with young black males with their pants on their asses, in the work place, or their hats cocked to the left, right, or backward. It is a business, not the neighborhood.

  • The better question is "Why don't we have enough black owned businesses?" "Why are we so focused on being employees and not business owners?"

  • To be honest I rarely notice when a business is black or other owned. I like the Jamaican place I go to, but that's because the food is good and worth the wait.

If a business is failing its because they aren't creating value for their customers - black or white. Create the value and you create a solid business.

  • 70m0kun, thanks for watching and committing to this video.

  • So are some Black people haters towards black business.

  • That a good question I don't know why I buy my hair from Koreans. Where I live there ONLY Koreans running these store. I think they have the network to sell it to me at a good price. I believe most of their products come from over seas.

  • We don't have any black owned businesses to support

  • True I don't see not a ONE in my hood, city or town!

  • Exactly. It's not like we have a Little Africa like others have: Little Italy, China Town, Little India, etc. The black community needs a merchant class like we had in Africa before slavery. Black businesses are spread apart all over the city and nobody knows each other.

  • poor customer service * not knowing about the prodcuts and unprofessionalism * attitude

but the dude that owns the corner store in my neighborhood is mad cool but hes Jamacian or Hatian...does that count? lol

  • I also think it is a money management issue...black people almost more than any other ethnic group are promoted to be consumers, so when one does start a business and they get a little cash flow in they don't understand that the money needs to be budgeted and applied to the business so it can grow...this is what makes a lot of them go under. Plus there are not enough examples...I think a big way for ANYONE to go ahead and do something is by seeing positive examples and outcomes.

  • I like this topic......well I am in the process of starting my own business and it is doing well so far..I think first of all black people a lot of us don't understand the organization that goes into it. We just kinda DO IT and don't prepare. I think also we have a trapped mindset...we feel we have to get something through someone else..and the only way to really know that you can do something yourself is if you have already stepped out of your comfort zone before.

  • im going to college and im black and you can get scholarships business stuff if your black im gettin my business in computer where we sell and fix computers and a tv business 2

  • much props to you Star! :)

  • thank you

  • I think attitude and presentation does it. Sometimes if you go into a Black establishment you don't feel welcomed. The employees aren't enthused to help you and they don't cater. If you wanted repeat customers you must make them feel appreciated. When I was in Tampa I went to a fast food place with all Black employees and some of the young guys had their uniform shirts untucked and pants sagging. If you check out TheDream Reborn's page he has a video on this also.

  • i also get this vibe when i go to the stores with the Arabs yet they stay in buisness....

  • The Arabs probably don't seem enthused to help Blacks. Sometimes foreigners come here with with the stereotypes about us( we're cheap, don't tip, rude, unemplyed, etc) To other groups they are more enthused. As far as business goes if anything is considered Black owned non-Blacks probably consider the business to be inferior or negative. We as Black Americans need to carry ourselves respectfully in everthing we do. Black business owners usually need non Black patrons.
