Good job, xilla! For all the babies - no, this isn't another S.E.I.C. song sung by Yolanda, this is Carolyn Allen-Simmons daughter/Angela Bennet's sister, Yolandra Simmons-Jones. (FYI: That's YolanDa saying "Sing YolanDRa!" at the 1:47 mark) What a difference one letter can make... luv ya 'Londra!!!
@dawgnme I was there at the recording back in the DAY!!! THE IS YOLANDRA SIMMONS who is ANGLEAS BENNETS SISTER who mother was CAROL ALLEN SIMMONS who is decease RIP MS SIMMONS...I never say this was YOLANDA ADAMS....these are my FAM.....some even sing the OUTREACH BAPTIST CHURCH CHOIR.......FAM. for life SEIC FOR LIFE....1luv many song GMWA as well as the late CARL PREACHER, Mrs the late SHIRLEY, taught at the GMWA ......the left a legacy all over the world.....
@xilla01 Thanks for coming to Anniversary, xilla01 - I was @ the recording, too. In fact, that was my first year singing with SEIC, so I know all the people you named pretty well myself. I never said you confused the two - your title is correct. My comment was for those who confuse the two (and Pearl and Jonie). Take it easy with the all caps - SEIC, Outreach, BC & S, Mt. Olive, and Greater Emmanuel are family to all of us.
This is what I call Raw but Awesome! Wish we could get back to this type of singing and voice styling! Southeast You already know you were before your time!
