  • Pretty nice elevator. It's basic but it seems to run nice and it it fast.

  • What is better, Otis or KONE?

  • KONE is better because they don't make hydraulics and I love there beautiful kss fixtures. Otis series 1 is better than series 2 for hydraulics. Series 2 is better for traction because of there very smooth Gen2 MRL machine and 2000T is much smoother than the older 2000Ts

  • I miss the Series 1 put on the new Otis'. The Series 5 look cheap.

  • Otis sucks (with the exception of Elevonic, perhaps), and KONE's Eco/MonoSpace MRL system is severely flawed. My answer: Schindler.

  • Yes but sadly this is of a higher quality than MOST Schindlers!

  • @dieselducy I'm mainly talking about newer Otis. The 1990s were when Otis was at their modern (post 1976) prime. I don't care for the new Schindlers being installed today either, but they are MUCH better than the pieces of crap Otis and TK are installing. As you said last night, if you are getting a hydro, then I would recommend doing business with a good 3rd party supplier/installer of GAL equipment. As for the MRL elevator, I don't care for it in General...

  • @dieselducy KONE Eco/MonoSpace is a flawed design: a small motor supported by the guiderails does not put me at much ease. Most Gen2s, from what I've seen, have been unimpressive. Something that concerns me about Gen2 is the use of polyurethane-coated steel belts; doesn't seem like a bad idea on paper, but polyurethane is the same material used to make escalator handrails, so those belts can wear down after time and need to be replaced more often than conventional traction cables...

  • I don't even need to say anything about ISIS, and I just don't trust Synergy. If you must go with MRL, go with 400A. It simply has an MRL option, so you can get it in standard configuration and MRS (machine room side), which is the closest thing there is on the market today to bottom drive. Bottom drive is the ultimate "MRL" solution with the reliability of geared, the ability to stick the machine room in a basement, and it's been around for more than 50 years!

  • I am in complete agreement with basement traction units!!

  • @SchindlerHaughton I wonder why they don't go with bottom drive very much anymore.

  • Nice elevator.

  • Hey do you want to meet at the Bank of America tower someday like you are telling me about a few months back?

  • gluse would never meet me, he doesn't even know my channel exists, and I've been on longer than many other people he mentions

  • Dan Im sure he would like to meet you someday. I would love to meet you. Also I think gluse does watch your videos, I have seen some of yours videos on his favorites. You make very good videos.

  • Gluse, I think i got that some shirt.

  • whataburger is the BEST!

    nice elevator too

  • Sweet! It's so much fun to film with other elevator enthusiasts! =D Very well done video! =D

  • It is fun. I've filmed with Dan A, ih8escalators, JonElevator, and soon to be musicfreakcc!

  • I am hopefully going to record with TJElevatorFan some up coming saturday.

  • You were lucky you got to meet gluse.

  • lol, i would have laughed if that guy that walked in was recording the elevator at the same time, lol
